Kampania
Roumlouki ( el, Ρουμλούκι, from the Ottoman Turkish ''Rûmlık'', "place of the Rûm") or Kampania (Καμπανία), is the traditional name of the northeastern part of Imathia located in Macedonia, Greece, specifically the plain of the lower Aliakmon River. Location The term refers to the lowlands between the Pierian Mountains in the south to the wetlands of the Giannitsa Lake (now drained) in the north, and from the heights east of Veroia to the mouths of the rivers Aliakmon and Loudias (Ottoman ''Kara Asmak'') in the Thermaic Gulf. According to some accounts, the name extended up to the Axios River in the northeast. Alexandreia or Alexandria ( el, Αλεξάνδρεια, ''Aleksándreia'' le'ksaŋðria before 1953: Gidas (Γιδάς, ''Gidàs'' �i'ðas is a city in the Imathia regional unit of Macedonia, Greece. Its population was 14,821 at the 2011 census. Alexandreia is a rapidly developing city focusing to boost its economy through agriculture, merchandising, alternative tourism and other alternative actions. Geography Alexandreia is a located in the vast plain north of the river Aliakmonas and west of the river Axios, named Kampania or also Roumlouki. Its economy is chiefly based on the agricultural utilization of the surrounding fields. The area around Alexandreia has the greatest production of peaches in Greece and apples, pears, tobacco, and cotton are also grown at large. Its elevation is 10 m above mean sea level. Imathia
Imathia ( el, Ημαθία ) is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the region of Central Macedonia, within the geographic region of Macedonia. The capital of Imathia is the city of Veroia. Administration The regional unit Imathia is subdivided into 3 municipalities. These are (number as in the map in the infobox): * Alexandreia (2) * Naousa (3) * Veroia (1) Prefecture As a part of the 2011 Kallikratis government reform, the regional unit Imathia was created out of the former Imathia prefecture ( el, Νομός Ημαθίας). The prefecture had the same territory as the present regional unit. At the same time, the municipalities were reorganised, according to the table below.
