Kalat Division
Kalat Division or Qalat Division is an administrative division of Balochistan Province of Pakistan. Its capital city is Khuzdar. The area of Kalat Division is 140,612 km². In 2015, the Balochistan Assembly unanimously passed a resolution calling upon the provincial government to establish a new Rakhshan Division comprising the districts of Nushki, Chagai, Kharan and Washuk which were parts of Quetta and Kalat. Divisions Of Pakistan
The four provinces, capital territory and two autonomous territories of Pakistan are subdivided into 38 administrative "divisions", which are further subdivided into districts, tehsils and finally union councils. These divisions were abolished in 2000, but restored in 2008. Baluchistan States Union
The Baluchistan States Union or Balochistan States Union (BSU) was an administrative division of Pakistan that existed between 3 October 1952 and 14 October 1955 in the southwestern part of West Pakistan. It was formed by the four princely states of Kalat, Kharan, Las Bela and Makran with the capital at the town of Kalat. The area of the Union was roughly the south-western half of the modern province of Balochistan. The Union was separate from the Chief Commissioners Province of Baluchistan which comprised areas to the northeast of the Union. The Union did not include the enclave of Gwadar which was part of the Muscat and Oman. The four state rulers continued in office and retained autonomy. The BSU was formed after the accession of four individual princely states to the new Dominion of Pakistan in 1948. The area became the Kalat Division when the Union was dissolved. Surab District
Surab District ( Balochi: سۏراپ), ( Brahui and Urdu: ), is a district located in central Balochistan province, Pakistan. Prior to its creation as a separate district in 2017, Surab was part of Kalat District. Administration The headquarters of Surab district is Surab. Demographics At the time of the 2017 census the district had a population of 200,857, of which 102,427 were males and 98,430 females. Rural population was 165,260 (82.28%) while the urban population was 35,597 (17.72%). The literacy rate was 44.46% - the male literacy rate was 53.17% while the female literacy rate was 35.37%. 48 people in the district were from religious minorities. Brahui was the predominant language, spoken by 98.57% of the population. Surab is largely based on a tribal society and one of the main tribes would be the Muhammad Hassani tribe. Mastung District
Mastung District ( bal, مستونگ; ur, ) is a district located in the northwest of Balochistan province, Pakistan. Prior to its creation as a separate district in 1991, Mastung was part of Kalat District. Administration The district consists of three Tehsils: * Dasht * Kardigap * Mastung Prior to 2006, within these there were 12 union councils: Khadkocha, Ghulam Parenz, Karez Noth, Mastung-1, Mastung-2, Sorgaz, Dasht, Isplinji, Kanak, Shaikh Wasil, Kardigap and Soro. In 2006, one additional union council formed with the name of Alizai, bringing the total union councils to 13. Demographics At the time of the 2017 census the district had a population of 265,676, of which 137,504 were males and 128,169 females. Rural population was 230,679 (86.83%) while the urban population was 34,997 (13.17%). Khuzdar District
Khuzdar ( Balochi and Brahui: ; Urdu: ) is a district in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. Its capital is the city of Khuzdar. Until its establishment as a district in 1974 it was part of Kalat District. In November 1992 part of the territory of Khuzdar was split off to form the new district of Awaran. Kalat District
Kalat or Qalat ( Balochi and Brahui: ; ur, ) is a district in Balochistan, Pakistan. It is one of 26 in that province, and encompasses an area of . The population of the district is estimated to be over 400,000 in 2005. The district is governed from the city of Kalat. Kalat was notified as a district on February 3, 1954. At that time Khuzdar and Mastung districts were sub-divisions of Kalat (which then also included Kachi, Jhal Magsi and Naseerabad (Dera Murad Jamali); these were separated in 1965 as Kachhi District). Khuzdar became a separate district by notification of 1 March 1974, while Mastung was announced to be separate district on 18 February 1992. Hub District
Hub District ( Balochi , ur, ), is a coastal administrative district of Balochistan Province, Pakistan. Hub District is created after bifurcating Lasbela District in 2022. Sardar Muhammad Saleh Bhootani confirmed that the creation of Hub District is a long-standing demand of the people of PB-49 constituency. Karachi Division
Karachi Division ( ur, ) is an administrative division of the Sindh Province of Pakistan. There are seven districts of Karachi. History In December 1960 Lasbela became a separate district and was placed to form Karachi-Bela division.
