KVBH (107.5 FM) is a commercial radio station in San Antonio, Texas. The station is owned by Univision and it airs a rhythmic adult contemporary radio format. Studios and offices are located on Network Boulevard in Northwest San Antonio. The transmitter site is in Elmendorf, on Elmendorf-Lavonia Road. History KBUC-FM On December 31, 1967, the station signed on as KBUC-FM. Its community of license was Terrell Hills, and it broadcast at 106.3 MHz. The power was only 3,000 watts, a fraction of its current output. KBUC-FM was the FM counterpart to AM daytimer KBUC, so programming could continue to be heard on the FM station after sunset. KBUC-AM-FM simulcasted a country music format, and were owned by Tom E. Turner and the Turner Broadcasting Corporation (which is not related to the current day Turner Broadcasting System). The station is owned by Latino Media Network, under the license of Latino Media Network, LLC. The station also broadcasts on KVBH's HD-2 signal. This station is owned by Uforia Audio Network under licensee Univision Radio Illinois, Inc. The station's studios are located in Northwest San Antonio and the transmitter site located in the unincorporated Bexar County near Government Canyon Park. Station history KBBT originally launched as country outlet KBOP-FM at 98.3 and licensed to Pleasanton, Texas, in 1968. They later changed call letters to KBUC in 1993 but kept the Country format intact. Rhythmic Adult Contemporary
Rhythmic adult contemporary, often abbreviated as rhythmic AC or RAC, is an adult contemporary radio format. The format focuses primarily on rhythmic hits aimed towards an adult audience, often resembling a mixture of the classic hits and hot adult contemporary formats in practice. It typically focuses on genres such as disco, classic hip-hop, dance pop, and house music of the late 1980s/early 1990s. Elmendorf is a city in Bexar County, Texas, United States. It is part of the San Antonio—New Braunfels metropolitan statistical area. Its population was 1,862 at the 2020 census. It was founded in 1885, and named after Henry Elmendorf, a former mayor of San Antonio, and a German-Texan. For a long time, the biggest employer was Star Clay Products.
