Asociația Clubul Sportiv KSE Târgu Secuiesc, commonly known as KSE Târgu Secuiesc or KSE, is a Romanian professional football club based in Târgu Secuiesc, Covasna County. KSE was founded in 1912 and is the second team from Covasna (a county with a majority of Székely ethnics) as ranking in the Romanian football, after Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe. Name of the club is a mix of Hungarian and Romanian, KSE (abbreviation for ''Kézdivásárhelyi Sportegyesület'' – Târgu Secuiesc Sports Association) and ACS Târgu Secuiesc (abbreviation for ''Asociația Club Sportiv Târgu Secuiesc'' – Târgu Secuiesc Sports Association). Székelys
The Székelys (, Székely runes: 𐳥𐳋𐳓𐳉𐳗), also referred to as Szeklers,; ro, secui; german: Szekler; la, Siculi; sr, Секељи, Sekelji; sk, Sikuli are a Hungarian subgroup living mostly in the Székely Land in Romania. A significant population descending from the Székelys of Bukovina lives in Tolna and Baranya counties in Hungary and certain districts of Vojvodina, Serbia. In the Middle Ages, the Székelys played a role in the defense of the Kingdom of Hungary against the Ottomans in their posture as guards of the eastern border. With the Treaty of Trianon of 1920, Transylvania (including the Székely Land) became part of Romania, and the Székely population was a target of Romanianization efforts. Futball Klub Csíkszereda Miercurea Ciuc (, ), commonly known as Csíkszereda Miercurea Ciuc or simply Csíkszereda, is a Romanian professional football club based in Miercurea Ciuc, Harghita County, which competes in the Liga II. The current name of the team is an amalgamation of both the Hungarian and Romanian names of the city, respectively, with Miercurea Ciuc having a majority of Szekler population. Csíkszereda was originally established in 1904 in Austria-Hungary, and was an amateur team without notable results at national level. Refounded in 1919, it participated in the Romanian leagues until 1940, and eventually reached the second tier of Hungary after Northern Transylvania was assigned to the latter country. Liga IV
Liga IV is the fourth level of the Romanian football league system. Its name was changed from Divizia D into Liga IV before the start of play for the 2006–07 season. Current format Liga IV has 42 divisions. The divisions are regionalised and are organised by every county association. Each team plays in their own county. The county associations decide how many teams play in the league and how many matches each side plays. In Romania the most frequently used system is one division with matches played home and away. A number of associations prefer 2 or even 4 parallel divisions with the teams finishing first meeting in a play-off to decide the champion. The number of teams differ from one county association to another. The Mureș County association has the fewest teams, 8, which play in a Scottish system, playing 4 times against one another.
