KRL FC
Khan Research Laboratories Football Club, sometimes abbreviated to KRL F.C. or KRL, is a Pakistani professional football club based in Rawalpindi. The club is affiliated with Khan Research Laboratories and the team play their home games at KRL Stadium. The club has won five league titles and six National Football Challenge Cups. They are the most successful club in the country with eleven trophies. They are the only Pakistani club to reach a continental club finals when they reached the 2013 AFC President's Cup final, losing 1–0 to Balkan FK. History Khan Research Laboratories entered the National Championship in the 1998 season, where they lost 2–0 to Allied Bank in the quarter-finals. Khan Research Laboratories Ground
The Shoaib Akhtar Stadium, formerly known as Khan Research Laboratories Ground, is a multi-use stadium in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. At first named after the Pakistan nuclear enrichment facility Khan Research Laboratories, it was renamed Shoaib Akhtar Stadium in honour of the former Pakistani fast bowler in March 2021. The stadium has a capacity of 8,000 spectators. It is currently used mostly for football matches, on club level by KRL FC of the Pakistan Premier League. It was also used for first-class cricket and List A cricket matches as the home venue for the Khan Research Laboratories cricket team. 2006–07 Pakistan Premier League
The 2006–07 Pakistan Premier League season was the 3rd season since the inception of Pakistan Premier League and 52nd season of Pakistan domestic football. The football season was moved from the summer to the winter months. Pakistan Army ended the season as league champions, successfully defending the title and winning their second title in three years. Kaleemullah Khan (footballer)
Kaleemullah Khan ( ur, ; born 20 September 1992) is a Pakistani footballer who plays in the Iraqi Premier League for Zakho FC and the Pakistan national team. Khan plays as a midfielder or forward, and has been deployed in a variety of attacking roles – as an attacking midfielder, second striker, centre forward and on either wing. He is the first Pakistani player ever to play and score in United States and also the first Pakistan-born player ever to play against an English Premier League team ( Sunderland AFC). The PFF National Challenge Cup is an annual semi-professional knockout football competition in men's domestic Pakistani football within the Pakistan football league system. It is organized by and named after the Pakistan Football Federation. Khan Research Laboratories have won the most titles (six).
