Mesa Del Rey Airport is a public airport a mile northeast of King City, in Monterey County, California, United States. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a ''general aviation'' facility. History It opened in April 1940 as Palo Alto Airport or King City Airport. It originally had a 4,570' NW/SE hard surfaced runway. It was used for most of World War II by the United States Army Air Forces as a primary (level 1) contract pilot training airfield. Kiwi Travel International Airlines
Kiwi Travel International Airlines was a New Zealand based airline which pioneered discount flights between secondary airports in Australia and New Zealand in the mid-1990s. The airline was established by Ewan Wilson and several associates. Wilson served as CEO and was later convicted on four counts of fraud. It was reported in March 2015 that he was looking at restarting an airline, under the name Kiwi Regional Airlines. Charter services The airline began as Kiwi Travel Air Charters in July 1994, operating weekly charters between Hamilton, New Zealand and Brisbane, Australia, using a leased Air Nauru Boeing 737-400. In December 1994, charters were operated to Brisbane, Tonga and Western Samoa. The Kepler Input Catalog (or KIC) is a publicly searchable database of roughly 13.2 million targets used for the Kepler Spectral Classification Program (SCP) and ''Kepler''. Overview The Kepler SCP targets were observed by the 2MASS project as well as Sloan filters, such as the ''griz'' filters. The catalog alone is not used for finding Kepler targets, because only a portion (about 1/3 of the catalog) can be observed by the spacecraft. The full catalog includes up to 21 magnitude, giving 13.2 million targets, but of these only about 6.5 to 4.5 million fall on Kepler's sensors. KIC is one of the few comprehensive star catalogs for a spacecraft's field of view. The KIC was created because no catalog of sufficient depth and information existed for target selection at that time. The Kohler International Challenge with Brian Redman or the KIC (formerly the Brian Redman International Challenge, BRIC) is one of the largest vintage road races in the United States. It is held at Road America during the third weekend in July and has been sanctioned by the SVRA since 2006. Before 2006, the VSCDA held the event and it was called the BRIC (Brian Redman International Challenge). The origin of the event itself began with Chicago area restaurateur Joseph Marchetti hosting the vintage and historic race car competition under the name ''Chicago Historic Races'' (CHR) in 1981. Rangasami Lakshminarayan Kashyap (born 28 March 1938 - died 11 November 2022) was an Indian applied mathematician and a Professor of Electrical Engineering at Purdue University. He developed (with Harvard professor Yu-Chi Ho) the Ho-Kashyap rule, an important result (algorithm) in pattern recognition. In 1982, he presented the Kashyap information criterion (KIC) to select the best model from a set of mathematical candidate models with different numbers of unknown parameters.
