Krzysztof Ptak
Krzysztof Ptak (3 April 1954 – 19 August 2016) was a Polish cinematographer. Ptak was born in Sulejów in 1954. He graduated from the National Film School in Łódź in 1980 and began his film career by making documentaries. He co-operated with the National Film School of Denmark and was the rector of the UK National Film and Television School. Ptak pioneered the HDTV in Poland with his 2003 film '' Pornografia'' and was one of the first Polish cinematographers to use digital cameras. He is the son of Józef and Alina Ptak and the brother-in-law of another Polish cinematographer, Przemysław Skwirczyński Przemysław Skwirczyński (; born November 3, 1952, in Lublin in Poland) is a Polish cinematographer. Camerimage
The International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography Camerimage () is a festival that celebrates and awards cinematography and cinematographers. The festival is held in Toruń, Poland, at the end of November every year. It spans the course of one week, with multiple events at one time. The first seven events (1993–1999) were held in Toruń, and the next ten events (2000–2009) were held in Łódź. From 2010 until 2018, the festival took place in Bydgoszcz, before returning to Toruń in 2019, where it currently remains. In 2007, the name of the festival was changed from Camerimage to Plus Camerimage, but it was changed back in 2013 after the sponsorship deal with Plus ended. Sulejów
Sulejów is a town in central Poland with 6,130 inhabitants (2020). It is situated in Łódź Voivodeship. Sulejów gives its name to the protected area known as Sulejów Landscape Park. History The origins of Sulejów are associated with a village founded near the crossing of the Pilica river in the 12th century. The castle, which later sparked the development of a Cistercian abbey, was built between 1176 and 1177, on the orders of Duke Casimir II the Just. The abbey was constructed in the place which is now called Podklasztorze. Sulejów received its town rights in the middle of the 13th century, later confirmed by King Władysław I the Elbow-high. A great event in the history of the town was a rally, which took place between 20 and 23 of June, 1318.
