''Krantidhra'' is an Oriya film based on 'Jhada Pare Surya' written by Iti Samanta and directed by Himansu Sekhar Khatua . The main star cast of the film includes Samaresh Routray, Gargi Mohanty & Debasis Patra. The film is produced by Iti Rani Samanta. Plot The story is based on women empowerment, the role of women in politics & society and it shows dominance of husband over wife in Indian society . Iti Rani Samanta
Iti Rani Samanta (born in 1970) is an Indian columnist, journalist and film producer. She won the Odisha State Film Awards in 2014 for Best Story Writer. She is also the editor of the monthly family magazine ''The Kadambini'' and the children’s magazine ''The Kunikatha''. Early life and education Iti Rani Samanta was born in the year 1970 in a village called Kalarabanka in Cuttack, Odisha. She is the youngest of the seven siblings born to Nilimarani Samanta and Anadi Charan Samanta. After losing her father early, and due to scarce economic support, Samanta’s early childhood saw her struggling for sustenance and survival. She was brought up by her mother amidst poverty and sticky social challenges. Himansu Sekhar Khatua
Himansu Sekhar Khatua is an Indian director, educationalist, and journalist. He directed the national film award winning movies Shunya Swaroopa and Kathantara in 1996 and 2005 respectively. He was the previous managing director from the house of Kalinga Media and Entertainment Private Limited (KMEPL) and also the Ex-CMD of Kalinga TV, a news channel and KNews Odisha, a digital platform. He was instrumental in establishing three schools in KIIT University. Mr Himansu Khatua took the responsibility for establishment of School of Film, School of Fashion and school of Mass Communication. He was holding the position of Director General when he left KIIT University in order to join as Director of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. Samaresh Routray (born 3 July 1979) is a film actor, producer and television personality from Odisha. He is mostly known for the negative roles. He has been awarded as Best Actor In Negative Role many times, including 2 Tarang Cine Awards. He was awarded as Best Actor for NAMARD in 28th Odisha State Film Awards. Early life Routray was born in Bhubaneswar, Odisha to Alekha Prasad Routray and Laxmipriya Routray. He is an alumnus of National School of Drama. He has done MBA in HR and Marketing.
