Knightfall (album)
''Knightfall'' is the first full-length album by multinational Swedish band, Silent Images. The album is based on the Batman: Knightfall story arc, with additional cues taken from the '' Batman: Arkham'' game series, as well as trinkets of philosophy. The album has been heralded as a didactic dissection of the intimate dichotomy between the Dark Knight and Bane as well as an analysis of sociopolitical issues through the narrative medium. Lyrically, Shakespearean English, German, French and Latin are utilized to complement the diverse musicality. The band´s hybridization of various subgenres has led to their music being branded as "Contemporary Extreme Metal". Silent Images
Silent Images is a Malmö-based, Swedish progressive death metal/thrash metal band, and is notable for being the sole extreme metal act from Sweden that solely encompasses musicians of foreign backgrounds, namely Argentina, Bolivia and Singapore. The members’ distinctively broad experiences in Rock, Metal, Jazz and Latin have proved invaluable in adding a unique taste to the band’s sound. History The band was founded in 2011 by Argentinean-born David Sosa on guitars and Bolivian-born Manolo Beltran on drums. In 2012, Bolivian Renzo Jaldin & Singaporean Mithun MK (Deus Ex Machina) were respectively roped in on bass and vocals to complete the equation. The band released a self-titled EP in 2013, and thereafter played multiple shows regionally och nationally. Progressive Metal
Progressive metal (often shortened to prog metal) is a broad fusion music genre melding heavy metal music, heavy metal and progressive rock, combining the loud "aggression" and amplified electric guitar, guitar-driven sound of the former with the more experimental, cerebral or quasi-classical compositions of the latter. Arkham
Arkham () is a fictional city situated in Massachusetts, United States. An integral part of the Lovecraft Country setting created by H. P. Lovecraft, Arkham is featured in many of his stories and those of other Cthulhu Mythos writers. Arkham House, a publishing company started by two of Lovecraft's correspondents, August Derleth and Donald Wandrei, takes its name from this city as a tribute.
