Kleptomania is the inability to resist the urge to steal items, usually for reasons other than personal use or financial gain. First described in 1816, kleptomania is classified in psychiatry as an impulse-control disorder. Some of the main characteristics of the disorder suggest that kleptomania could be an obsessive–compulsive spectrum disorder, but also share similarities with addictive and mood disorders. The disorder is frequently under-diagnosed and is regularly associated with other psychiatric disorders, particularly anxiety disorders, eating disorders, alcohol and substance abuse. Patients with kleptomania are typically treated with therapies in other areas due to the comorbid grievances rather than issues directly related to kleptomania. Over the last 100 years, a shift from psychotherapeutic to psychopharmacological interventions for kleptomania has occurred. ''Kleptomania'' is the fourth and final album by English rock band Mansun, released posthumously in September 2004, following the band's split, as a triple album. The first CD features the material that was to form the basis of the band's next album, which was originally going to be self-titled, and the other 2 CDs feature EP tracks, outtakes and demos. The band split up while recording songs for the album ''Kleptomania'', leaving unfinished tracks that were never released. An extensive explanation of the break-up has never been made public although a press release by Paul Draper stated that the band had simply "grown apart". EMI had originally not intended to release the material until an online petition, which gained over 4000 signatures, demonstrated that there was demand for it from fans. Draper was not in a positive frame of mind about Mansun at the time, but agreed to work on the material after EMI contacted him, on the basis that the material would be released as part of ... ''Klepto'' is a 2003 straight-to-DVD independent thriller film starring Meredith Bishop and Jsu Garcia. It is the debut film of director Thomas Trail and premiered at the 2003 CineVegas Film Festival. Plot In Los Angeles, Emily Brown is a kleptomaniac who is addicted to pills and misses her jailed father, and is undergoing therapy trying to resolve her compulsion. She has a police record for shoplifting, and her mother Teresa is a compulsive shopper whose spending has ruined her financially. The security guard Nick, of Bernstein's department store, sees Emily through a camera and becomes fascinated with her. She resists his advances, which are tinged with blackmail, but her mother approves. When Nick, a couch-surfing divorcee, gets in trouble dealing ecstasy, he presses Emily to help him rob Bernstein's. Dany Lademacher (born Daniël Germain Jean Lademacher, also Danny; 17 June 1950) is a Belgian guitar player. Born in Etterbeek, he played in a number of Belgian bands before joining prominent Dutch band Herman Brood and his Wild Romance. He was also a studio and live guitarist for a variety of artists, including T.U.S.H., Gerritsen & Van Dijk and I Travel. Kleptomania Founded in 1968 by Charlie Deraedemaeker (bass), Francis Goya (guitar) and singer Lou Deprijck, Kleptomania was a cult Belgian rock band which underwent several line up changes, Lademacher joining in 1969 and being voted best guitarist in Belgium three years running. Carnaby Street is a Pedestrian zone, pedestrianised shopping street in Soho in the City of Westminster, Central London.
