Kiril Nikolovski
Kiril Nikolovski ( mk, Кирил Николовски; born 9 June 1988) is a Macedonian professional basketball player born in Skopje. He is a former member of the Macedonian national basketball team. Pro career Nikolovski started his pro career with Macedonian Team MZT Skopje in 2007. Kiril is considered to be a versatile big man because of his dominating stature of 2.10 m (6 ft 11 in). His comfortable position is at center, however, he is capable of playing as a power forward due to his upside and talent. On 28 June 2017, he signed with Karpoš Sokoli. On 21 November 2017, he signed with Rabotnički. Macedonian national team Nikolovski has also been a member of the Macedonian national basketball team since 2004, when he represented Macedonia at the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship. Center (basketball)
The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. They traditionally play close to the basket in the low post. Centers are valued for their ability to protect their own goal from high-percentage close attempts on defense, while scoring and rebounding with high efficiency on offense. FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship
The FIBA U16 European Championship, previously known as the FIBA Europe Championship for Cadets, is a youth basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1971 edition. Through the 2003 edition, it was held every second year, but since the 2004 edition onward, it is held every year. It serves as the qualification tournament for the FIBA Under-17 World Cup in odd years, for the FIBA Europe region. The current champions are Lithuania. Bojan Trajkovski ( mk, Бојан Трајковски; born 11 September 1986) is a Macedonian professional basketball player who plays for Feniks 2010 of the Macedonian First League. He is a member of the Macedonian national basketball team. Pro career Trajkovski started his pro career with Macedonian Team Balkan Steel in 2002. Bojan is a 2.08 m big man capable of playing the power forward and center positions. His natural position, being the power forward spot is where he is most comfortable. His size does not limit him to playing on the block, he is very much capable of knocking down shots from long-range, most notably 3-pointers (like many of the big men from this region). Aleksandar Kostoski ( mk, Александар Костоски; born 5 March 1988) is a Macedonian professional basketball player. He currently plays for TFT. He is also a member of the Macedonian national team. Pro career Kostoski started his pro career with French team Pau Orthez in 2004. National team Kostoski has also been a member of the Macedonian national basketball team since 2004, when he represented Macedonia at the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship. Marjan Lazovski
Marjan Lazovski ( mk, Марјан Лазовски; 7 September 1962 – 19 December 2020) was a Macedonian professional basketball player and coach of KK Rabotnički, MZT Aerodrom, Vardar, and AMAK SP. Career Lazovski served as an assistant coach for the Macedonia national basketball team for five years. In February 2012, he was named head coach after former boss Marin Dokuzovski decided not to continue in the job. As of 5 October 2012, Lazovski had resigned from his post as head coach of the Macedonia national basketball team, citing health reasons and club team needs, as first priority. Lazovski died at age 58 on 19 December 2020, from COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in North Macedonia. The 2012 FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament was a men's basketball tournament that consisted of 12 national teams, where the top three teams earned a place in the 2012 Olympics basketball tournament. EuroBasket 2011 was the 37th men's European Basketball Championship, held by FIBA Europe. The competition was hosted by Lithuania. This was the second time EuroBasket had been held in Lithuania, the country having also hosted the 1939 championship. FIBA Europe asserted that Lithuania managed to organize the best European championship in its history. The top two teams are guaranteed spots at the 2012 Summer Olympics. EuroBasket 2011 was the largest sporting event in the history of the Baltic states, both in terms of the number of national teams (24), games (90), and that of spectators (158,000 tickets sold, with most tickets valid for three separate games.)
