Kinsale Sevens
The Kinsale Sevens (also known as Heineken Kinsale Sevens, Kinsale Sevens By The Sea) is Ireland and Europe's premier seven-a-side club rugby event. The event takes place across the May Bank Holiday Weekend (Friday to Sunday) at the Kinsale Rugby Football Club, Kinsale, Ireland and sees teams from around the world compete against each other in ladies', men's (junior and senior) and veteran competitions. Format Participants find themselves battling it out over a two-day period (Saturday and Sunday - traditionally, the Friday is dedicated to a fun 10-a-side competition) with the finals of the feature events taking place on the Sunday. The event is open to everyone and applications to participate can be submitted to the official website. Garryowen Football Club
Garryowen Football Club (Irish: ''Cumann Rugbaí Gharraí Eoin''), usually referred to as Garryowen, is a rugby union club from Limerick, Ireland. It plays in Division 1A of the All-Ireland League and historically has been one of the most successful clubs in Irish rugby union. History The club was formed in 1884. Dungannon RFC (Dungannon Football Club) is a rugby union club from Dungannon, Northern Ireland, playing in Division 2B of the All-Ireland League. History The 5th Earl of Ranfurly, who was President of Dungannon Football Club for 24 years and Patron for a further 37 years, was Governor of New Zealand from 1897 to 1904. He brought his love of rugby to New Zealand and gave his name to the most prestigious rugby trophy in the Southern Hemisphere, The Ranfurly Shield. Gloucester Rugby are a professional rugby union club based in the West Country city of Gloucester, England. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby, as well as in the European Rugby Champions Cup. Cork Constitution
The Cork Constitution (CC) is a rugby union club based in Cork, playing in Division 1A of the All-Ireland League. It was founded by staff of the ''Cork Constitution'' newspaper. Since the paper did not publish on Sundays, the staff were looking for activities to pursue on Saturday afternoons. In the summer, cricket was played, while in the winter, rugby was the designated activity. The team currently plays in Temple Hill, Ballintemple. Due to the introduction of professional rugby union, and its success at producing players who go on to obtain Munster contracts, Con, like many other senior rugby clubs in Ireland, has been unable to field a full strength side for a number of years. Clontarf Football Club is an Irish rugby union club based in Clontarf, Dublin and playing, as of 2018, in Division 1A of the All-Ireland League. History Having played firstly in a field at the bottom of Vernon Avenue, then on a site currently used by Dublin Bus as a depot, the club moved to its present location in 1896 and celebrated 100 years at the Castle Avenue grounds in 1996. De La Salle Palmerston FC is an Ireland, Irish Rugby union, rugby team. The senior team currently play in the Leinster League. The senior side had a short spell in Division 1 starting in the 1998-99 season. The club grounds, Kirwan Park are located between Stepaside and Kilternan.
