Kindal Moorehead
Kindal Jerome Moorehead (born October 14, 1978) is an American football coach and former defensive tackle. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the fifth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He was a first-team All SEC college football at Alabama. He played high school football for Melrose High School in Memphis, Tennessee where he earned USA All-American, Parade All-American, Mr. Football and a state championship in 1997. He was teammates with Cedrick Wilson Sr. who also made it to the NFL and earned a Super Bowl ring with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2005. Moorehead played for the Panthers from 2003 to 2007. During the 2004 season, he served as a replacement for the injured Kris Jenkins at defensive tackle, despite playing with a sore shoulder. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Kris Jenkins
Kristopher Rudy-Charles Jenkins (born August 3, 1979) is a former American football defensive tackle who played for the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Maryland. He was drafted by the Panthers in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. A two-time All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowl selection, Jenkins played seven seasons for the Panthers before being traded to the New York Jets in 2008. College career Jenkins played college football at the University of Maryland, where he started 27 of 41 games. He made the second-team All- ACC during his senior season.
