Kim Pyong-ho
Kim Pyong-ho () (born in 1960) is a North Korean politician. He is a member of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and the chief editor of the party's organ, Rodong Sinmun. Biography He served as vice president of Korean Central News Agency, and was appointed president on February 22, 2010. At the 3rd Conference of the Workers' Party of Korea held in September 2010, he was elected as a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. Through the decision of the 2nd plenary session of the 7th Central Committee of the Party held in October 2017, he was appointed chief editor of Rodong Sinmun. As president of KCNA, he helped reached a deal with the Associated Press to open the wire service's Pyongyang bureau in 2012. The bureau is located in KCNA's headquarters building. Kim Jong-il (; ; ; born Yuri Irsenovich Kim;, 16 February 1941 – 17 December 2011) was a North Korean politician who was the second supreme leader of North Korea from 1994 to 2011. He led North Korea from the 1994 death of his father Kim Il-sung, the first Supreme Leader, until his own death in 2011, when he was succeeded by his son, Kim Jong-un. Death And State Funeral Of Kim Jong Il
The death of Kim Jong Il was reported by North Korean state television news on 19 December 2011. The presenter Ri Chun-hee announced that he had died on 17 December at 8:30 am of a massive heart attack while travelling by train to an area outside Pyongyang. Reportedly, he had received medical treatment for cardiac and cerebrovascular diseases, and during the trip, Kim was said to have had an "advanced acute myocardial infarction, complicated with a serious heart shock". However, it was reported in December 2012 by South Korean media that the heart attack had instead occurred in a fit of rage over construction faults in a crucial power plant project at Huichon in Chagang Province. The Order of Kim Jong Il () is a North Korean order named after Kim Jong Il, the former leader of North Korea. It is the highest order of North Korea, along with the Order of Kim Il-Sung, and only second to one honorary title, the Hero of Labour. The order can be awarded to individuals as well as organizations for service to the cause of the ''Juche'' ideology and socialism. Recipients include people who have contributed to the space and nuclear programs of the country. The 7th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was elected by the 7th Congress on 9 May 2016, and remained in session until the election of the 8th Central Committee on 10 January 2021. In between party congresses and specially convened conferences the Central Committee is the highest decision-making institution in the WPK and North Korea. The Central Committee is not a permanent institution and delegates day-to-day work to elected bodies, such as the Presidium, the Politburo, the Executive Policy Bureau, the Central Military Commission and the Control Commission in the case of the 7th Central Committee.
