Dublin
Dublin (; , or ) is the capital and largest city of Ireland. 1991 Eurovision Song Contest
The Eurovision Song Contest 1991 was the 36th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Rome, Italy, following the country's victory at the with the song " Insieme: 1992" by Toto Cutugno and was organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Radiotelevisione Italiana (RAI). The contest was held at Studio 15 di Cinecittà on 4 May 1991 and was hosted by former Italian winners Gigliola Cinquetti and Toto Cutugno. Twenty-two countries took part in the contest with participating for the first time since , and the deciding not to participate. This contest was also the last time that the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia participated, the country would soon be split up opening up new countries to participate in the coming years. Could It Be That I'm In Love
For the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest in Rome, the song "Could It Be That I'm in Love", written and composed by Liam Reilly and performed by Kim Jackson, was chosen to represent Ireland, after it won the national final selection. Composer Liam Reilly had represented Ireland in the 1990 Eurovision Song Contest in Zagreb, coming in second place with his own composition; Kim Jackson had also provided backing vocals for that entry. Before Eurovision National final Held on 30 March 1991 at the RTÉ television centre in Dublin, the national final selection was hosted by Pat Kenny. Originally, eight songs were set to compete, but one was withdrawn the week before the contest, bringing the number of songs to seven. The winner was selected by ten regional juries. Liam Reilly
Liam Reilly (29 January 1955 – 1 January 2021) was an Irish singer-songwriter and a member of the group Bagatelle, formed in 1978 by drummer Walter (Wally) McConville along with bass player Ken Doyle and guitarist John O’Brien. Career In 1980 while recording the band's debut album, Reilly had received an offer from Gus Dudgeon (Elton John's producer, who has since died) to begin a solo career in return for leaving the other band members to their own devices. However Reilly refused and insisted on sticking by the other members as they had done the same for him until that point. After leaving the group in the mid-1980s he moved to Savannah, Georgia and began a solo career. While in Savannah, he recorded an album entitled ''Savannah Souvenir'' which featured much of Reilly's keyboards and vocals and was produced by Phil Hadaway. Samantha Zoe Womack (''née'' Janus; born 2 November 1972) is an English actress, singer, model and director who has worked in film, television and stage. Womack initially planned a career in singing and she represented the United Kingdom in the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest.
