Kim Bokamper
Kim Bokamper (born September 25, 1954) is an American former professional football player who spent his entire nine-year career as a linebacker and defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) with the Miami Dolphins from 1977 to 1985. Bokamper was selected in the first round of the 1976 NFL draft by the Dolphins after playing college football for the San Jose State Spartans. He was a member of the Dolphins' Killer B's defense of the early 1980s and was a one-time Pro Bowler in 1979. Bokamper started at right defensive end for the Dolphins in Super Bowl XVII and Super Bowl XIX. Against the Washington Redskins in Super Bowl XVII, he was involved in a play in which he deflected a pass attempt from Redskins quarterback Joe Theismann, and nearly intercepted the deflected pass in the end zone, for a touchdown. Joe Theismann
Joseph Robert Theismann (; born September 9, 1949) is an American former professional football player, sports commentator, corporate speaker, and restaurateur. He rose to fame playing quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). Theismann spent 12 seasons with the Washington Redskins, where he was a two-time Pro Bowler and led the team to consecutive Super Bowl appearances, winning Super Bowl XVII over the Miami Dolphins and losing Super Bowl XVIII to the Los Angeles Raiders. He played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003. In the Redskins' 11th game of the 1985 NFL season, he suffered a gruesome and catastrophic fracture to his right leg that ended his career. 1976 NFL Draft
The 1976 NFL draft was an annual player selection meeting held April 8–9, 1976, at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City, New York.
