Kevin Pilkington
Kevin William Pilkington (born 8 March 1974) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who is the goalkeeping coach at club Luton Town. As a player, he had a 25-year career as a goalkeeper, playing 439 league and cup games. Noted for his shot stopping abilities, Pilkington notably played in the Premier League for Manchester United before dropping down to the English Football League, where he played in nearly 350 games in his time at Mansfield Town and Notts County, helping Mansfield win promotion out of the Third Division in 2001–02. He spent five years with Mansfield and then another ten years over two spells with Notts County; at both clubs, he was usually the first-choice keeper rather than a backup keeper as he was at most other clubs. Hitchin
Hitchin () is a market town in the North Hertfordshire Districts of England, district of Hertfordshire, England. The town dates from at least the 7th century. It lies in the valley of the River Hiz at the north-eastern end of the Chiltern Hills. It is north-west of the county town of Hertford, and north of London. Premier League
The Premier League is a professional association football league in England and the highest level of the English football league system. Tony Coton
Anthony Philip Coton (born 19 May 1961) is an English football coach and former footballer who is a goalkeeper scout for Premier League side Manchester United. As a player he was as a goalkeeper who made 500 appearances in the Football League and Premier League for Birmingham City, Watford, Manchester City, Manchester United and Sunderland. During his career he was called up to the England team on one occasion in 1993 but didn't feature, with his only taste of international football being a cap for the England B team in 1992. Following his retirement in 1997, Coton returned to Manchester United as the clubs goalkeeping coach where he remained until an injury put an end to a ten-year coaching career, he has since spent time as a players' agent before working in scouting notably for Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers and Aston Villa. Gary Walsh
Gary Walsh (born 21 March 1968) is an English football coach and former professional player who is a goalkeeping coach at club Port Vale. He played as a goalkeeper in a 21-year professional career, making 282 league and cup appearances. He was also capped twice at England U21 level. Walsh spent ten years as a backup goalkeeper at Manchester United, where he played 50 First Division and Premier League games. He kept goal in the 1985 FA Youth Cup final and was an unused substitute in the 1991 European Cup Winners' Cup final, 1991 European Super Cup, 1994 FA Charity Shield, 1994 League Cup final, 1994 FA Cup final, and the 1995 FA Cup final. Peter Schmeichel
Peter Bolesław Schmeichel (born 18 November 1963) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. During eight seasons at English club Manchester United, he won 15 trophies including five Premier League titles, three FA Cups and he captained the club to victory in the 1999 UEFA Champions League final to complete the Treble. Schmeichel also played for the Denmark national team, with whom he won the UEFA European Championship in 1992. FA Youth Cup
The Football Association Youth Challenge Cup is an English football competition run by The Football Association for under-18 sides. Only those players between the age of 15 and 18 on 31 August of the current season are eligible to take part. It is dominated by the youth sides of professional teams, mostly from the Premier League, but attracts over 400 entrants from throughout the country. At the end of the Second World War the FA organised a Youth Championship for County Associations considering it the best way to stimulate the game among those youngsters not yet old enough to play senior football. The matches did not attract large crowds but outstanding players were selected for Youth Internationals and thousands were given the chance to play in a national contest for the first time. Non-League football describes association football, football leagues played outside the top leagues of a country. Usually, it describes leagues which are not fully professional. A football scout attends football matches on the behalf of clubs to collect intelligence on young players. Typically, there are two types of scouts: player scouts and tactical scouts. Player scouts or physical scouts evaluate the talent of footballers with a view to signing them on a professional contract for their employers. Some scouts focus on discovering promising young players and future stars while others are employed to run the rule on potential signings. Smaller clubs might only scout within their own country region, while larger and richer clubs can have extensive international scouting networks. Ilkeston ( ) is a town located in the Borough of Erewash in Derbyshire, England, with a population of 40,953 at the 2021 census.
