Kevin Nastiuk
Kevin Nastiuk (born July 20, 1985) is a Ukrainian Canadian ice hockey goaltender, who most recently played for ACHW side Stony Plain Eagles. Playing career Nastiuk played junior hockey with the Medicine Hat Tigers from 2001 through 2005 and was drafted in the fourth round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes. Nastiuk had played for several teams in the American Hockey League, ECHL and Central Hockey League before joining Eisbären Berlin in the later stages of the 2009–10 DEL season. He stayed until 2012 and then signed with German second-division side Heilbronner Falken for the 2012-13 campaign. For the following season, he moved to fellow DEL2 club Dresdner Eislöwen, where he spent two years, before returning to Eisbären Berlin of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga in July 2015. Goaltender
In ice hockey, the goaltender (commonly referred to as the goalie) is the player responsible for preventing the hockey puck from entering their team's net, thus preventing the opposing team from scoring. The goaltender mostly plays in or near the area in front of the net called the '' goal crease'' (often referred to simply as '' the crease''). Goaltenders tend to stay at or beyond the top of the crease to cut down on the angle of shots. In the modern age of goaltending there are two common styles, butterfly and hybrid (hybrid is a mix of the traditional stand-up style and butterfly technique). Because of the power of shots, the goaltender wears special equipment to protect the body from direct impact. Jesse Schultz
Jesse Schultz (born September 28, 1982) is a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger. He is currently an unrestricted free agent who most recently played under contract with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. Playing career Junior Schultz spent four seasons of junior hockey in the Western Hockey League, starting in the 1999–2000 season with the Tri-City Americans. He would be dealt to the Prince Albert Raiders midway through the 2000–01 season, where he played well, scoring 32 points in 35 games for the Raiders. However, it wasn't enough to get him selected in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, as he was passed over in his first year of eligibility. Schultz was traded to the Kelowna Rockets for the 2001–02 season, and posted solid totals of 28 goals and 64 points. The Western Hockey League (WHL) is a major junior ice hockey league based in Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. The Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), sometimes referred to as the British Elite League or, for sponsorship reasons, the Viaplay Elite League, is an ice hockey league in the United Kingdom. The Deutsche Eishockey Liga (for sponsorship reasons called "PENNY Deutsche Eishockey Liga") (; English: ''German Ice Hockey League'') or DEL, is a German professional ice hockey league and the highest division in German ice hockey. Founded in 1994, it was formed as a replacement for the Eishockey-Bundesliga and became the new top-tier league in Germany as a result. DEL2 (also known as DEL II) is the second tier ice hockey league in Germany, below the ''Deutsche Eishockey Liga'' (DEL) and ahead of the '' Oberliga''. Founded in 2013 to replace the defunct '' 2nd Bundesliga'', DEL2 is administered by ESBG, under licence from DEB. Heilbronner Falken (; 'Heilbronn Falcons') are a professional ice hockey team based in Heilbronn, Germany. Central Hockey League
The Central Hockey League (CHL) was a North American mid-level minor professional ice hockey league which operated from 1992 until 2014. It was founded by Ray Miron and Bill Levins and later sold to Global Entertainment Corporation, which operated the league from 2000 to 2013, at which point it was purchased by the individual franchise owners. As of the end of its final season in 2014, three of the 30 National Hockey League teams had affiliations with the CHL: the Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, and Tampa Bay Lightning.
