Kenneth Walter Howell
The Anglican Bishop of Santiago is a bishop in the Anglican communion, the head of the Anglican Diocese of Santiago within the Anglican Church of Chile. Until 2018, the bishop and diocese were "of Chile", in the Anglican Church of South America. The diocese was founded in 1963 from the Diocese of the Falkland Islands. The diocesan seat is the Santiago Community Church in Santiago. The incumbent diocesan bishop is Tito Zavala (born 1954), who was appointed in 2000. In November 2018, the former Chile diocese become a province in its own right, subdivided into four new dioceses (Santiago, Valparaiso, Temuco, and Conception); Zavala remained in post, as his See and Diocese were renamed Santiago, and he was additionally elected inaugural metropolitan bishop and Primate/Presiding Bishop of the province. Juan Esteban Saravia
Juan Esteban Saravia Cortés is a Chilean Anglican bishop. He is the second diocesan bishop of Santiago in the Anglican Church of Chile. Biography Saravia was born in Santiago and grew up in Concepción. He worked as a construction professional until studying for pastoral ministry at Chile's Center for Pastoral Studies. He planted Iglesia Cristo Redentor in Ñuñoa in 2011 and served as pastor there. In 2023, Saravia and his family moved to Vienna, Virginia, where he was a pastor at Christ Church in the Anglican Church in North America and studied at Trinity Anglican Seminary. In April 2024, Saravia was elected diocesan bishop of Santiago to succeed Tito Zavala. He was consecrated and installed as bishop by Zavala at a service in Santiago on January 12, 2025. Enrique Lago Zugadi is a Chilean Anglican bishop. Since 2025, he has been the second archbishop of the Anglican Church of Chile. Biography From 1994 to 2017, Lago was pastor of Iglesia Providencia in Santiago. Alfred Philip "Alf" Cooper (born 1950) is an evangelical Anglican bishop in Chile. He was consecrated as auxiliary bishop in the Diocese of Chile and, after the recognition of the Anglican Church of Chile as an autonomous province of the Anglican Communion in 2018, he continued as auxiliary bishop in the Diocese of Santiago. Cooper served as chaplain to Chilean President Sebastián Piñera during his first term. Early life Cooper was born in Chile to a family of British descent and raised there. A coadjutor bishop (or bishop coadjutor) ("co-assister" in Latin) is a bishop in the Latin Catholic, Anglican and (historically) Eastern Orthodox churches whose main role is to assist the diocesan bishop in administering the diocese.
