Kenneth Trestrail
Kenneth Basil Trestrail (26 November 1927 – 24 December 1992) was a West Indian and Canadian cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler. He played 18 first-class matches for his native Trinidad in the 1940s, earning selection for the West Indian cricket team on their tour to England in 1950. He did not play in any of the Tests on that tour, but played in eighteen of the first-class tour matches, as well as scoring a hundred in each innings against Durham at Ashbrooke in Sunderland. He later settled in Canada and returned to England in 1954 with the touring Canadian cricket team The Canada national cricket team represents Canada in international cricket. The Canada national cricket team represents Canada in international cricket. The team is organised by Cricket Canada, which became an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1968. With the United States, Canada was one of the two participants in the first ever international cricket match, played in New York City in 1844. The annual Canada–U.S. fixture is now known as the Auty Cup. Canada's first international match against a team other than the U.S. came in 1932, when Australia toured. Test cricket is a form of first-class cricket played at international level between teams representing full member countries of the International Cricket Council (ICC). A match consists of four innings (two per team) and is scheduled to last for up to five days. In the past, some Test matches had no time limit and were called Timeless Tests.
