Kendell Watkins
Kendell Mario Watkins (born March 8, 1973) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys. He was selected by the Cowboys in the second round (59th overall) of the 1995 NFL Draft. He played college football at Mississippi State University. Early years Watkins attended Provine High School, receiving All-district, All-metro and second-team All-state honors as a senior, after registering 14 receptions for 246 yards and 2 touchdowns. He played tight end, linebacker and defensive end. He accepted a football scholarship from Mississippi State University. As a freshman, he played only on special teams. As a sophomore, he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery near mid-season, which limited his playing time at tight end, although he was active in every contest and started 3 games. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense (sports), offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. In American football, the specific role that a player takes on the field is referred to as their "position". Under the modern rules of American football, both teams are allowed 11 players on the field at one time and have "unlimited free substitutions", meaning that they may change any number of players during any "dead ball" situation. In gridiron football, a lineman is a player who specializes in play at the line of scrimmage. The linemen of the team currently in possession of the ball are the offensive line, while linemen on the opposing team are the defensive line. 1994 NFL Season
The 1994 NFL season was the 75th regular season of the National Football League. To honor the NFL's 75th season, a special anniversary logo was designed and each player wore a patch on their jerseys with this logo throughout the season. Also, a selection committee of media and league personnel named a special NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, honoring the best NFL players from the first 75 seasons. The Phoenix Cardinals changed their name to Arizona Cardinals in an attempt to widen their appeal to the entire state of Arizona instead of just the Phoenix area. Jay Novacek
Jay McKinley Novacek (born October 24, 1962) is a former American football tight end in the National Football League who played for the St. Louis/Phoenix Cardinals (1985–1989) and the Dallas Cowboys (1990–1995). Novacek was a five-time Pro Bowler, who was selected to play each year from 1991 through 1995. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008. The Peach Bowl is an annual college football bowl game played in Atlanta, Georgia since December 1968.
