Karl Spangenberg
Karl Spangenberg was an American engineer, social scientist, academic, futurist, writer, and visionary. Affiliations Spangenberg was a member of the American Physical Society and became an IRE (now IEEE) Associate in 1934, Senior Member in 1945, and Fellow in 1949. Publications Spangenberg authored "Vacuum Tubes" (1948) and "Fundamentals of Electron Devices" and edited "Electromagnetics in Space: Antenna Considerations as Related to Space Communications" (1965). Education He received the B.S. and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Case Institute of Technology, in 1932 and 1933, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Ohio State University, Columbus, in 1937. His PhD adviser was William Littell Everitt, a founding member of the National Academy of Engineering. William Littell Everitt
William Littell Everitt (April 14, 1900 – September 6, 1986) was a noted American electrical engineer, educator, and founding member of the National Academy of Engineering. He received his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 1933. He was adviser of numerous outstanding scientists at OSU including Karl Spangenberg, and Nelson Wax. Willis Harman
Willis W. Harman (August 16, 1918 – January 30, 1997) was an American engineer, futurist, and author associated with the human potential movement. He was convinced that late industrial civilization faced a period of major cultural crisis which called for a profound transformation of human consciousness. Over a career lasting some four decades, he worked to raise public awareness on the subject through his writings and to foster relevant research through the nonprofit research institute SRI International, the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), and the World Business Academy (WBA). Robert Helliwell
Robert A. Helliwell (September 2, 1920 – May 3, 2011) was an electrical engineer and professor at Stanford University. Chih-Tang "Tom" Sah (; born in November 1932 in Beijing, China) is a Chinese-American electronics engineer and condensed matter physicist. He is best known for inventing CMOS (complementary MOS) logic with Frank Wanlass at Fairchild Semiconductor in 1963. CMOS is now used in nearly all modern very large-scale integration (VLSI) semiconductor devices.
