Kai Clifton Trewin (born 18 May 2001) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a central defender for A-League Men club Melbourne City. Club career On 6 March 2020, Trewin made his professional debut for Brisbane Roar in a league match against Western Sydney Wanderers, replacing Scott McDonald in the 92nd minute as the Roar won 3–1. On 17 May 2024, it was announced that Trewin would join fellow A-League Men club Melbourne City on a permanent deal on 1 July, signing a three-year contract. National Youth League (Australia)
A-League Youth, formerly known as the National Youth League and Y-League is a defunct Australian national association football, soccer youth developmental and under-21s league, founded by Football Federation Australia and later run by the Australian Professional Leagues. The current league was established as a successor to the previous competition of the National Youth League (1984–2004) and commenced in August 2008. The 2023–24 season was the club's 29th national season in the history of Brisbane Roar FC, Brisbane Roar Football Club. The 2020–21 A-League was the 44th season of national level soccer in Australia, and the 16th since the establishment of the A-League in 2004. The season was started on 28 December 2020 and concluded with the Grand Final on 27 June 2021. Scott Douglas McDonald (born 21 August 1983) is an Australian former professional footballer and is the current head coach for National Premier Leagues club Gold Coast Knights. Originally a striker, McDonald could also play as an attacking midfielder. Born in Dandenong, McDonald commenced his senior footballing career with Gippsland Falcons in the National Soccer League before moving to Great Britain in 2001.
