Kuroda Normal Form
In formal language theory, a noncontracting grammar is in Kuroda normal form if all production rules are of the form: :''AB'' → ''CD'' or :''A'' → ''BC'' or :''A'' → ''B'' or :''A'' → ''a'' where A, B, C and D are nonterminal symbols and ''a'' is a terminal symbol. Some sources omit the ''A'' → ''B'' pattern. It is named after Sige-Yuki Kuroda, who originally called it a linear bounded grammar, a terminology that was also used by a few other authors thereafter. Every grammar in Kuroda normal form is noncontracting, and therefore, generates a context-sensitive language. Conversely, every noncontracting grammar that does not generate the empty string can be converted to Kuroda normal form. A straightforward technique attributed to György Révész transforms a grammar in Kuroda normal form to a context-sensitive grammar: ''AB'' → ''CD'' is replaced by four context-sensitive rules ''AB'' → ''AZ'', ''AZ'' → ''WZ'', ''WZ'' → ''WD'' and ''WD'' → ''CD''. This pro ...

Korean Natural Farming
Korean Natural Farming (KNF) is an organic agricultural method that takes advantage of indigenous microorganisms (IMO) (bacteria, fungi, nematodes, and protozoa) to produce rich soil that yields high output without the use of herbicides or pesticides. KNF emphasizes self-sufficiency by limiting external inputs and relying on recycled farm waste to produce biologically active inputs. While this practice has grown in popularity, scientific evidence of the benefits of KNF is relatively limited. History Hankyu Cho (1935~2025), born in 1935 in Suwon, Gyeonggi do, Korea, started the Korean Natural Farming method. He started to farm since he was 13 years old from his hometown, Suwon, South Korea. However, he felt it is not enough of learning so he decided to go to Suwon Agricultural High School to study more. Cho completed his high school education at the age of twenty-nine while still working on his family's farm. He went to high school at the late age due to the Korean War. He ...

Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego
The Polish Financial Supervision Authority, in Polish Urząd Komisji Nadzoru Finansowego (UKNF) is the main financial regulatory authority for Poland. UKNF was established in 2019 as a separate legal person under public law. It hosts the Financial Supervisory Commission or KNF (}), established in 2006 by merger of several pre-existing specialized authorities. The chair of the KNF is simultaneously the head of UKNF. The UKNF's responsibilities include oversight of banking, capital markets, insurance, pension scheme and electronic money institutions. History The KNF was formed on 19 September 2006 pursuant to the Financial Market Supervision Act of 21 July 2006. The new supervisory body took over the tasks of the Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Commission and of the Securities and Exchange Commission (Poland), which were abolished pursuant to that act. From January 1, 2008, the second phase of the merger of financial supervision in Poland, the Polish FSA took over from the Na ...

Sequential Model
The sequential model (also known as the KNF model) is a theory that describes cooperativity of protein subunits. Koshland, D.E., Némethy, G. and Filmer, D. (1966) Comparison of experimental binding data and theoretical models in proteins containing subunits. Biochemistry 5, 365–385DOI: 10.1021/bi00865a047/ref> It postulates that a protein's conformation changes with each binding of a ligand, thus sequentially changing its affinity for the ligand at neighboring binding sites. It gives one explanation for cooperative binding. Overview This model for allosteric regulation of enzymes suggests that the subunits of multimeric proteins have two conformational states. The binding of the ligand causes conformational change in the other subunits of the multimeric protein. Although the subunits go through conformational changes independently (as opposed to in the MWC model), the switch of one subunit makes the other subunits more likely to change, by reducing the energy needed for subs ...

Kuki National Front
Kuki National Front (KNF) is a Kuki people, Kuki militant organisation operating in the state of Manipur, India. Its professed goal is to achieve a 'Kukiland' state within the framework of the Constitution of India, Indian constitution. At present, it has split into multiple factions which have joined the umbrella groups Kuki National Organisation (KNO) and United People's Front (Manipur), United People's Front (UPF) along with a Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement with the Government of India. Background Until 1986, the Kuki people of Manipur participated in the Mizo National Front uprising, Greater Mizoram movement of the Mizo National Front. The signing of the Mizo Accord left them in the lurch, and also created a "security void" with respect to the Naga militant group National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) formed in 1980. NSCN had the agenda of creating "Greater Nagalim" containing all the Naga-inhabited areas in various states, in particular Manipur. Naga area ...
