Odessa is a city in and the county seat of Ector County, Texas, United States. It is located primarily in Ector County, although a small section of the city extends into Midland County. God's Learning Channel
God's Learning Channel (GLC) is a religious satellite network based in West Texas which teaches a biblical point of view of Judaism. The network was founded in 1982 by Al and Tommie Cooper, who had the vision to bring Judaism to Southeastern New Mexico. The network later grew to five television transmitters located in New Mexico and West Texas. Ultra high frequency (UHF) is the ITU designation for radio frequencies in the range between 300 megahertz (MHz) and 3 gigahertz (GHz), also known as the decimetre band as the wavelengths range from one meter to one tenth of a meter (one decimeter). Radio waves with frequencies above the UHF band fall into the super-high frequency (SHF) or microwave frequency range. Lower frequency signals fall into the VHF ( very high frequency) or lower bands. KPTF-DT, virtual and UHF digital channel 18, is a God's Learning Channel- affiliated television station licensed to Farwell, Texas, United States. The station is owned by Prime Time Christian Broadcasting. It is carried on Suddenlink cable television systems in Clovis, New Mexico and Amarillo, Texas. History The station began as a construction permit granted by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to Winstar Farwell, Inc., on April 8, 1998. Originally given callsign KBGD, it was to broadcast on UHF channel 18, serving Clovis and Portales, New Mexico as well as Farwell, Texas. Winstar Farwell agreed to sell the construction permit to Prime Time Christian Broadcasting on August 24, 1999 and on February 25, 2000, Prime Time Christian Broadcasting assumed control. McCamey, Texas
McCamey is a city in Upton County, Texas. Its population was 1,887 at the 2010 census. The Texas legislature has declared McCamey "the Wind Energy Capital of Texas" because of the many wind farms that have been built in the area. Its history, however, is primarily that of an oil boomtown. Geography McCamey is located at (31.132300, –102.222106). The town is about 5 miles (8 km) east of the Pecos River along U.S. Route 67. Fort Stockton is a city in and the county seat of Pecos County, Texas, United States.
