Judgement Day (Judge Dredd Story)
"Judgement Day" is a story of British science fiction character Judge Dredd. It was first published with alternating episodes in both '' 2000 AD'' and the ''Judge Dredd Megazine'' in 1992. It was the first crossover between the two publications; three more have since followed. It was also a crossover with another ''2000 AD'' series, ''Strontium Dog'', as it featured the second occasion on which Judge Dredd confronted Johnny Alpha (the lead character in ''Strontium Dog''). It was written by Garth Ennis (based on an idea by John Wagner) and illustrated by Carlos Ezquerra, Peter Doherty, Dean Ormston and Chris Halls. Set mainly in 2114 it tells of how the Fourth World War took the lives of three billion people when a powerful necromagus called Sabbat raised all the corpses in the world as zombies. 2000 AD (comic)
''2000 AD'' is a weekly British science fiction-oriented comic magazine. As a comics anthology it serialises stories in each issue (known as "progs") and was first published by IPC Magazines in 1977, the first issue dated 26 February. Since 2000 it has been published by Rebellion Developments. ''2000 AD'' is most noted for its '' Judge Dredd'' stories, and has been contributed to by a number of artists and writers who became renowned in the field internationally, such as Alan Moore, Dave Gibbons, Grant Morrison, Brian Bolland, Mike McMahon, John Wagner, Alan Grant and Garth Ennis. Simon Bisley
Simon Bisley is a British comic book artist best known for his 1990s work on '' ABC Warriors'', '' Lobo'' and '' Sláine''. Early life Simon Bisley began drawing when he was six years old. He is self-taught, with only a short one-year stay at an art college, saying "I found it very difficult to get any kind of feedback from the art teachers. They weren't interested at all in what I was doing, so I became kind of very introverted with regard to my artwork and yeah, I was just all self-taught." Chris Halls
Chris Cunningham (born 15 October 1970) is a British video artist and music video director, best known for his music videos for electronic musicians such as Autechre, Squarepusher, and most notably Aphex Twin on videos for " Windowlicker" and " Come to Daddy", and Björk's "All is Full of Love". All were used in Chris' chapter in Director's Label. He has also created art installations and directed short movies. He was approached to direct a movie version of William Gibson's cyberpunk novel ''Neuromancer''; the project has been in development hell for more than two decades. The Doomsday Scenario
''The Doomsday Scenario'' is the collective name of a series of ''Judge Dredd'' comic stories published in '' 2000 AD'' (progs 1141-1164) and the ''Judge Dredd Megazine'' (vol. 3 #52-59) in 1999. Written by John Wagner, it was the third such crossover story between those two publications, but was the first in which it was possible to read a complete and coherent tale by reading only those episodes which appeared in one comic or the other without having to buy both magazines. It was reprinted as two trade paperbacks, each collecting the episodes from one comic. When first published it was the longest ''Judge Dredd'' story arc ever told, at a total of 32 episodes and 279 pages, as well as several prequels and epilogues.
