Juan Zanotto
Juan Zanotto (Giovanni Zanotto, September 26, 1935 – April 13, 2005) was an Italy, Italian-born Argentina, Argentine comic book artist who worked both in Europe and Argentina. Biography Born in Cuceglio, in the province of Turin (Piedmont), Zanotto moved with his family at age thirteen to Argentina. There he studied at the North American School of Art (later the Pan-American School of Art). In 1953 he started to work at ''Editorial Codex'' where he worked on stories by other authors, and in subsequent years did adventure comics, westerns and drew early stories for ''Tatin'' and ''The Phantom''. In 1955, with writings by Alfredo Grassi, he created ''Ric de la Frontera'', and that same year began working on ''El Mundo del hombre rojo'' (Indian legends of North America). Cuceglio
Cuceglio (''Cusele'' in Piedmontese language) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about northeast of Turin. Monuments and places of interest In Piazza Guglielmo Marconi, the central square, there is the first Italian monument erected in honor of the king Umberto I of Italy and immediately behind an oak planted in honor of the queen. The village is divided into two districts, the "Gui" and the "Riva" and a fraction, the "Cascine Cuffia". The latter are detached from the village and are at the bottom towards the plain, the "Gui" is the lower part of the real village and the "Riva" the highest part and includes the Sanctuary of the Beata Vergine Addolorata (Cuceglio), built between the 1747 and the 1758. Héctor Germán Oesterheld
Héctor Germán Oesterheld, also known as his common abbreviation HGO (born July 23, 1919; disappeared and presumed dead 1977), was an Argentine journalist and writer of graphic novels and comics. He has come to be celebrated as a master in his field and as one of the pioneering artists in Argentine modern comics. Through his comics, Oesterheld criticized the numerous military dictatorships that beleaguered the country in different periods ranging from 1955 to 1983, as well as different facets of capitalism, colonialism and imperialism, choosing a subtle criticism in his early comics during the 1950s and early 1960s, and a stronger and direct approach in his later work, after the execution of Che Guevara in 1967, and onwards from then on: in 1968 he wrote a biographical comic book of Che Guevara, which was subsequently banned by the ''Argentine Revolution''. Ray Collins is a cartoonist who joined the staff of the ''Seattle Post-Intelligencer'' as a staff artist in 1950. He was appointed art director of magazines in 1964 and political cartoonist in 1970. Collins drew a comic strip titled '' Cecil C. Addle'' that appeared on the op-ed page from 1975 to 1979. ''Heavy Hitters'' is a 2005 album of cover songs by the Michael Schenker Group. Originally planned by Schenker as a collection of covers featuring himself and a "revolving all-star cast of guest musicians," the album was labeled and marketed as an MSG album, with the result that Schenker received only a flat fee. In 2008, it was re-released as a Michael Schenker solo album under the title ''Doctor Doctor: The Kulick Sessions'' and included four additional tracks (1-2 and 13-14). A Deluxe Digital version of this release is available under the "Guitar Masters: The Kulick Sessions" title. This contains instrumental versions of all the songs on the album except 'Save Yourself'. Charles Dixon (born April 14, 1954) is an American comic book writer, best known for his work on the Marvel Comics character the Punisher and on the DC Comics characters Batman, Nightwing, and Robin in the 1990s and early 2000s. Early life Dixon was born in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Upper Darby, reading comics of all genres. He is a graduate of Upper Darby High School (1972). Career 1980s Chuck Dixon's earliest comics work was writing '' Evangeline'' for Comico Comics in 1984 and then for First Comics. Eclipse Comics was an American comic book publisher, one of several independent publishers during the 1980s and early 1990s. In 1978, it published the first graphic novel intended for the newly created comic book specialty store market.
