Joshua Clay
Joshua Clay (Tempest) is a fictional character, a member of the superhero team Doom Patrol in comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Paul Kupperberg and Joe Staton, he first appears as the hero Tempest in ''Showcase'' #94 (August 1977). Joshua Clay appeared in his first live adaptation on the first season of the ''Doom Patrol'' television series for DC Universe played by Alimi Ballard. Fictional character biography A member of the second Doom Patrol, Joshua Clay is the first DC Comics hero to use the name Tempest. Along with Captain Comet, he is one of the few DC Comics heroes initially identified as a mutant. Joshua Clay was born in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, New York, the youngest of five children. Brownsville is a residential neighborhood in eastern Brooklyn in New York City. Robotman (Cliff Steele)
Robotman (Clifford "Cliff" Steele, called Automaton in first two appearances) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. He is best known as a member of the Doom Patrol, being the only character to appear in every version of the team since he, and the team, were introduced together in June 1963. Robotman has appeared in numerous cartoon television shows and films. Robotman made his first live adaptation as a guest star on the ''Titans'' television series for DC Universe played by Jake Michaels. Riley Shanahan took over from Michaels in the role. He is part of the main cast of its spin-off ''Doom Patrol'' which is also on HBO Max. Brendan Fraser provides the voice of Robotman and portrays Cliff Steele in flashbacks in the series. Hypochondria
Hypochondriasis or hypochondria is a condition in which a person is excessively and unduly worried about having a serious illness. An old concept, the meaning of hypochondria has repeatedly changed. It has been claimed that this debilitating condition results from an inaccurate perception of the condition of body or mind despite the absence of an actual medical diagnosis. An individual with hypochondriasis is known as a hypochondriac. Hypochondriacs become unduly alarmed about any physical or psychological symptoms they detect, no matter how minor the symptom may be, and are convinced that they have, or are about to be diagnosed with, a serious illness. Park Avenue is a wide New York City boulevard which carries north and southbound traffic in the boroughs of Manhattan and the Bronx. For most of the road's length in Manhattan, it runs parallel to Madison Avenue to the west and Lexington Avenue to the east. Celsius is a superhero in the DC Comics series ''Doom Patrol''. She first appeared in ''Showcase'' #94 (September 1977), and was created by Paul Kupperberg and Joe Staton. She is among the very few superheroes of Indian heritage, and may be the first ever such hero created by DC Comics. Celsius appeared in her first live adaptation on the first season of the ''Doom Patrol'' television series for DC Universe played by Jasmine Kaur and Madhur Jaffrey. Background and creation Celsius was created for the new, rebooted Doom Patrol which debuted in ''Showcase'' #94-96. Reactron
Reactron is a fictional supervillain who appears in comic books published by DC Comics, usually as an adversary of Supergirl. Publication history Reactron first appears in ''The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl'' #8 (June 1983), in a story written by Paul Kupperberg and drawn by Carmine Infantino. Fictional character biography Pre-Crisis Ben Krullen was a sergeant serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War, alongside Joshua Clay, the future Doom Patrol member who would be known as Tempest. When Krullen massacred the inhabitants of a Vietnamese village, the shock triggered the activation of Clay's metahuman powers. Clay seemingly destroyed Krullen with his energy blasts, then went AWOL. Krullen, instead of being killed, is transformed into a being capable of generating radioactive energy and concussive blasts.
