Josep Piqué
Josep Piqué i Camps (born 21 February 1955 in Vilanova i la Geltrú) is a Spanish politician of the right-leaning Spanish People's Party (PP) who represented Barcelona. Pique was initially a member of the Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSUC) but left the grouping and subsequently joined the Union of the Democratic Centre. Political career Between 1986 and 1988, Piqué served as Director General of Industry under the Convergence and Union government of Catalonia. After the People's Party election in 1996, Piqué was appointed Spanish Minister for Industry as an independent member. He served as Spain's foreign minister from 2000 to 2002. In this capacity, he steered Spain’s foreign policy during its six-month presidency of the Council of the European Union. A low-cost carrier or low-cost airline (occasionally referred to as '' no-frills'', ''budget'' or '' discount carrier'' or ''airline'', and abbreviated as ''LCC'') is an airline that is operated with an especially high emphasis on minimizing operating costs and without some of the traditional services and amenities provided in the fare, resulting in lower fares and fewer comforts. Alberto Fernández Díaz
Alberto Fernández Díaz (born 12 December 1961) is a Spanish former politician of the People's Party (PP). He was a member of the City Council of Barcelona from 1987 to 1999 and again from 2003 to 2019, and led his party in the Parliament of Catalonia between his two mandates. Abel Matutes y Juan (born 31 October 1941) is a Spanish politician who served as Spain's Minister of Foreign Affairs from 6 May 1996 to 2000. Matutes was born in Ibiza on 31 October 1941 and his early political life was in that region. He was Mayor of Ibiza in 1970 and 1971 and became Senator for Ibiza and Formentera in 1977. In 1982 Matutes left the Senate and became a member of the Congress of Deputies the lower house of the Spanish Parliament, representing the Balearic Islands until 1985.
