Jorginho (footballer, Born 1964)
Jorge de Amorim Campos (born 17 August 1964), better known as Jorginho, is a Brazilian professional football coach and former player. He is the current head coach of Vasco da Gama. A quick, technically gifted, and hard-working right back, Jorginho is regarded as one of the best full-backs of his generation, and as one of the greatest Brazilian defenders of all time. He played in his native country for five different clubs, and also spent six years in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich and three in Japan with Kashima Antlers; at international level, he was part of the Brazilian team that won the 1994 World Cup. After retiring in 2002, Jorginho took up coaching for a short period before working as the assistant to head coach Dunga with the Brazil national team for four years. 1983 FIFA World Youth Championship
The 1983 FIFA World Youth Championship was the fourth edition FIFA World Youth Championship tournament, hosted from 2 June to 19 June 1983 in seven venues in Mexico — Guadalajara, Irapuato, León, Mexico City, Monterrey, Puebla and Toluca — where a total of 32 matches were played. Brazil U20 defeated Argentina, 1–0, at Mexico City's Azteca Stadium to claim its inaugural tournament title of five. This edition still retains the record average daily attendance of 36,099 in the tournament's history. FIFA U-20 World Cup
The FIFA U-20 World Cup is the biennial football world championship tournament for FIFA members’ men's national teams with players under the age of 20. The competition has been staged every two years since the inaugural tournament in 1977 when it was hosted by Tunisia, under the tournament name of FIFA World Youth Championship until 2005. In 2007 the name was changed to its present form. The current title holder is Ukraine which won its first title at the 2019 tournament in Poland. An association football tournament was played as part of the 1988 Summer Olympics. The tournament featured 16 men's national teams from six continental confederations. The teams were drawn into four groups of four with each group playing a round-robin tournament. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams advanced to the knockout stage, beginning with the quarter-finals and culminating with the gold medal match at the Seoul Olympic Stadium on 1 October 1988. Before the final match, the Soviets relocated from the Olympic Village to Soviet steamship stationed nearby. 1995 Copa América
The 1995 Copa América football tournament was staged in Uruguay. It was won by Uruguay, who beat Brazil 5–3 in the penalty shootout after a 1–1 draw in the final. All 10 CONMEBOL members took part, with Mexico and the United States invited in order to reach 12 teams. The United States were the surprise of the tournament, beating defending champions Argentina 3–0 and winning the group. The United States went on to defeat Mexico on penalties in the second round but then lost to Brazil 1–0 in the semi-finals.
