Jonathan Pearce (commentator)
Jonathan Mark Pearce (born 23 December 1959) is an English sports commentator most known for his work on '' Robot Wars'' and more recently football for the BBC and BT Sport. He worked for Radio Five Live and ''Match of the Day'', as well as participating in other lower-profile sports programmes. Early life and career Growing up, Pearce had the intention of becoming a footballer, which subsequently ended when he broke his leg. He started his career in broadcasting at BBC Radio Bristol, and his first match commentary was Bristol Rovers against Exeter City in the League Cup. He became a sports editor at the age of 23. In 1987, he moved to London and Capital Radio where he launched ''Capital Gold Sportstime'' on Capital Gold a year later. He commentated on a handful of minor Premier League games for Sky Sports in the 1992–93 season, before his Radio 5 Live and ''Match of the Day'' career. Boleyn Ground
The Boleyn Ground, often referred to as Upton Park, was a football stadium located in Upton Park, east London. It was the home of West Ham United from 1904 to 2016, and was briefly used by Charlton Athletic in the early 1990s during their years of financial difficulty. The seating capacity of the ground at closure was 35,016. From the 2016–17 season, West Ham United have played their home matches at the London Stadium in nearby Stratford. The last first-class match played at the Boleyn Ground was on 10 May 2016, a 3–2 West Ham United win in the Premier League against Manchester United. The stadium was demolished in 2016 to make way for a new development. Guy Mowbray
Guy Nicholas Mowbray (born 16 February 1972) is an English football commentator, who primarily appears on the BBC and BT Sport. While working for Eurosport at the 1998 World Cup, he became the youngest ever television commentator on a World Cup Final, aged 26. Early life Mowbray's career began in the mid-1990s through the ClubCall network, a series of premium rate phone lines containing club information and commentaries. He joined BBC Radio York where he covered rugby league, cricket and football. He then moved to commercial station Sun FM in Sunderland and then to Metro Radio in Newcastle. Whilst at Metro Radio he started commentating on Sunderland's matches alongside summariser Eric Gates. During this time he became sports editor and won Sony and EMAP Radio Awards. ''Hole in the Wall'' is a British game show that aired on BBC One in the United Kingdom. It also occasionally aired repeats of this show on CBBC until April 2014. This game was an adaptation of the Japanese game ''Brain Wall'' (also known as "Human Tetris") in which players must contort themselves to fit through cutout holes of varying shapes in a large polystyrene wall moving towards them as they stand in front of a swimming pool. ''Sensible Soccer'', often called ''Sensi'', is an association football video game series which was highly popular in the early 1990s and which still retains a cult following. It was developed by Sensible Software and first released for Amiga and Atari ST computers in 1992 as well as for the PC.
