Jonathan Haslam
Jonathan Haslam (born January 15, 1951) is George F. Kennan Professor in the School of Historical Studies at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and Professor of the History of International Relations at the University of Cambridge with a special interest in the former Soviet Union. He has written many books about Soviet foreign policy and ideology. Education and career Haslam studied at the London School of Economics (B.Sc.Econ 1972), Trinity College, Cambridge (M.Litt. 1978), and was awarded his Ph.D. at the University of Birmingham in 1984. A historian is a person who studies and writes about the past and is regarded as an authority on it. Historians are concerned with the continuous, methodical narrative and research of past events as relating to the human race; as well as the study of all history in time.
