Jonas Gomes de Sousa (born 3 October 1991), simply known as Jonas, is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Bahia. Club career Early career Born in Teresina, Piauí, Jonas started his career at Fluminense-PI, but later represented Cerâmica, as a youth. He subsequently returned to his native state, signing for Piauí in exchange of a motorcycle. Sampaio Corrêa In 2012 Jonas moved to cross-town rivals Comercial, appearing with the side in Série D. On 10 December 2012 he joined Sampaio Corrêa, until 2015. Jonas was a regular starter for Sampaio during the club's promotion campaign to Série B, appearing in 23 matches. The January 2016 United States blizzard was a blizzard that produced up to 3 ft (91 cm) of snow in parts of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States from January 22–24, 2016. Evolving from a shortwave trough that formed in the Pacific Northwest on January 19, the system consolidated into a defined low-pressure area on January 21 over Texas. Regarding it as a "potentially historic blizzard", meteorologists indicated the storm could produce more than of snow across a wide swath of the Mid-Atlantic region and could "paralyze the eastern third of the nation". (Gian) Giacomo Carissimi (; baptized 18 April 160512 January 1674) was an Italian composer and music teacher. He is one of the most celebrated masters of the early Baroque or, more accurately, the Roman School of music. The Giver
''The Giver'' is a 1993 American young adult dystopian novel written by Lois Lowry, set in a society which at first appears to be utopian but is revealed to be dystopian as the story progresses. In the novel, the society has taken away pain and strife by converting to "Sameness", a plan that has also eradicated emotional depth from their lives. In an effort to preserve order, the society also lacks any color, climate, terrain, and a true sense of equality. ''Jonas'' is a novel by Norwegian author Jens Bjørneboe, originally published in 1955 by Aschehoug. It is widely recognised as one of his most important works, and as one of the most significant Norwegian literary works of the post-war era. The novel has a complex narrative taken from several different environments from the 1920s Weimar Republic and the Nazi era to the 1950s Norwegian society. The novel's title character, "Jonas," is a first grader in Norway, who early in the novel encounters a public school system that according to Bjørneboe is increasingly controlled by the "salamanders," a term used metaphorically for the bigoted enemies of culture which Bjørneboe sees in Norway at the time.
