John Jairo Ruiz Barrantes (born January 10, 1994) is a Costa Rican footballer who plays for Herediano. Club career C.D. Saprissa John Jairo began his career with C.D. Saprissa in 2011, scoring one goal against San Carlos on 11 September 2011. During the absence of Jairo Arrieta, Ruiz emerged as Saprissa's top striker in December 2011. Lille OSC In January 2012, Ruiz signed a four-year contract with French side Lille OSC, and was playing with the reserve team until he was sidelined by injuries. Puntarenas, Costa Rica
Puntarenas () is a city in the Puntarenas canton of Puntarenas Province, on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. As the seat of the Municipality of Puntarenas canton, it is awarded the title of city, which is made from the Puntarenas, Chacarita and El Roble districts. And as the city of the first canton of the province, it is the capital city of the Puntarenas Province as well, according to the Administrative divisions of Costa Rica. Jairo Arrieta Obando (born 25 August 1983) is a Costa Rican professional footballer, who plays as a forward for A.D.R. Jicaral. Club career Costa Rica Arrieta was born in Nicoya, Costa Rica. Before moving to Deportivo Saprissa, he played for Guanacasteca and their successors Brujas. While with Saprissa, Arrieta scored 48 goals in 178 league matches. 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup
The 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup was the 18th FIFA U-20 World Cup. Colombia hosted the tournament between 29 July and 20 August 2011, with matches being played in eight cities. The tournament was won by Brazil who claimed their fifth title. At a FIFA Executive Committee meeting held in Sydney on 26 May 2008, Colombia beat the only other candidate country, Venezuela, for the right to organize the U-20 World Cup. It was suggested by the then-Vice President of Colombia Francisco Santos Calderón that it was needed to withdraw from the race with Brazil to host the 2014 FIFA World Cup so the nation could concentrate on hosting the "best possible games". 2011 CONCACAF U-20 Championship
The 2011 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship was expanded to 12 teams beginning in 2011. The tournament determined the four CONCACAF teams that participated at the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup to be held in Colombia. In addition, the top three finishers from Central America or the Caribbean, in addition to hosts Mexico, qualified to participate at the 2011 Pan American Games. The Executive Committee approved that for men's U-20 championships all three North American teams again qualified automatically for the finals. Central America received four berths, and the Caribbean received five. The new allocations give Central America one more berth than it had in 2009 and the Caribbean three more. The 2011 CONCACAF U-17 Championship determined the four CONCACAF representatives to advance to the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico. Jamaica staged the championship between 14 and 27 February.
