John Broderick (producer)
John C. Broderick (October 22, 1942 in San Francisco, California – June 17, 2001 in Santa Monica, California) was an American film director, producer, screenwriter and entertainer. He is mostly known for the sword and sorcery film ''The Warrior and the Sorceress''. Biography John's entertainment career began as a high school student actor in South San Francisco and while at college worked as a member of the San Francisco Mime Troupe. He performed in the Troupe's award-winning production of ''A Minstrel Show (or Civil Rights in a Cracker Barrel)'' He attended film schools in Sweden and London, and returned to the US to ply his trade. Initially he directed underground films in New York City and then moved on to a producing, directing, acting and editing career in Hollywood. ''Sixpack Annie'' is a 1975 American International film aimed at the drive-in theatre circuit that was advertised with tags "Lookout... She's Legal Now! She's Out to Tear the Town Apart!" and "She's got the boys glad and the sheriff mad," amongst others. Another tagline used was "She's the pop top princess with the recyclable can." It starred Lindsay Bloom in the title role of Annie Bodine and Joe Higgins as Sheriff Waters. ''Capone'' is a 1975 American biographical crime film directed by Steve Carver, written by Howard Browne, and starring Ben Gazzara, Harry Guardino, Susan Blakely, John Cassavetes, and Sylvester Stallone in an early film appearance.
