Joe Righetti
Joseph William Righetti (born December 31, 1947) is a former American football defensive tackle who played two seasons with the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the sixth round of the 1969 NFL Draft. He played college football at Waynesburg University and attended Bethlehem-Center High School in Fredericktown, Pennsylvania. Early years Righetti played high school football at Bethlehem-Center High School. He was named most valuable lineman in his senior year. College career Righetti was a four-year starter for the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets. He earned NAIA All-American and NAIA All-District honors. He was also a Pennsylvania All-State West Penn Conference selection. Righetti set a record with eighteen individual tackles in a game against the Muskingum Fighting Muskies. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that will typically line up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the offensive guards, however he may also line up opposite one of the tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's individual defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These roles may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Muskingum University is a private liberal arts college in New Concord, Ohio. Chartered in 1837 as Muskingum College, the institution is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). The shot put is a track and field event involving "putting" (throwing) a heavy spherical ball—the ''shot''—as far as possible. The shot put competition for men has been a part of the modern Olympics since their revival in 1896, and women's competition began in 1948. History Homer mentions competitions of rock throwing by soldiers during the Siege of Troy but there is no record of any dead weights being thrown in Greek competitions. The first evidence for stone- or weight-throwing events were in the Scottish Highlands, and date back to approximately the first century.
