Donghai Airlines is an airline headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, with its base at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport. History The company was started in November 2002 as Jetwin Cargo Airline, with 2005 being the originally anticipated launch date for flight operations, using Boeing 737 aircraft. Initially, it was owned by Orient Holdings Group (65% ownership) and (Hong Kong company) East Pacific Holdings (35% ownership).Flight International 5–11 April 2005 By 2006, the airline still had not become operational, and its name changed to East Pacific Airlines. Sanya Phoenix International Airport
Sanya Phoenix International Airport is an airport serving the city of Sanya in Hainan, the southernmost province of China. It is located about northwest of the city center. Sanya Phoenix International Airport is a main airport hub and comprises close to ten thousand acres. The runway is about long and wide, which satisfies the take off and landing requirements of a fully weighted Boeing 747, Airbus A340 or other large aircraft. It is the second busiest airport in Hainan, the busiest being Haikou Meilan International Airport. However, it was the first airport in Hainan to launch transcontinental air service, when Transaero Airlines started operating non-stop to Sanya from Moscow as early as 2007. Haikou Meilan International Airport is the airport serving Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province, China. It is located southeast of the city center and was opened in 1999, replacing the old Dayingshan Airport located along what is now the city's Guoxing Avenue. The airport is operated by Hainan Meilan International Airport Company Limited. Haikou Meilan International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in Hainan, the second busiest being Sanya Phoenix International Airport. Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (formerly Shenzhen Huangtian Airport) is the airport serving Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. It is located on the east bank of the Pearl River near Huangtian and Fuyong villages in Bao'an District, and is northwest of the city centre. It is located on the left (northern) bank of the Yangtze River, between Yichang and Wuhan. History * Shashi was founded during the warring states period as an extension of the Chu capital Ying, its port on the Yangtze. * In modern history it is notable as one of the four ports specified to be opened to the Empire of Japan in the Treaty of Shimonoseki (17 April 1895, which also ended Chinese imperial claims to Korea).
