Prince Jeremi Wiśniowiecki ( uk, Ярема Вишневецький – Yarema Vyshnevetsky; 1612 – 20 August 1651) nicknamed ''Hammer on the Cossacks'' ( pl, Młot na Kozaków), was a notable member of the aristocracy of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, Prince of Wiśniowiec, Łubnie and Chorol in the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland and the father of the future King of Poland, Michael I. A notable magnate and military commander with Ruthenian and Moldavian origin, Wiśniowiecki was heir of one of the biggest fortunes of the state and rose to several notable dignities, including the position of voivode of the Ruthenian Voivodship in 1646. His conversion from Eastern Orthodoxy to Roman Catholicism caused much dissent in Ruthenian (Ukrainian) lands (part of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth). Jeremi Suri is an American historian, and the Mack Brown Distinguished Chair for Leadership in Global Affairs, at University of Texas at Austin. Life He graduated from Stanford University, Ohio University, and Yale University. Suri has received many prizes for his teaching and research. In 2007, ''Smithsonian Magazine'' named him one of America's "Top Young Innovators" in the Arts and Sciences. In 2012, Suri was Mack Brown Distinguished Professor for Global Leadership, History, and Public Policy at the University of Texas at Austin. Jeremi Ray Johnson (born September 4, 1980) is a former American football fullback. He was drafted by the Bengals in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at Indiana University and Western Kentucky. Early years Johnson was a standout for Ballard High School, rushing for over 2,000 yards and scoring 35 touchdowns in his junior and senior seasons. Jeremi Kubicki (6 April 1911 – 6 December 1938) was a Polish painter. His work was part of the art competitions at the 1932 Summer Olympics and the 1936 Summer Olympics. Jeremi Maria Franciszek Wasiutyński (born 5 October 1907 in Warsaw, died 8 April 2005 in Oslo) was a Polish-Norwegian astrophysician, philosopher and depth-psychologist. Life and work Wasiutyński studied mathematics, physics and astronomy at the University of Warsaw, then worked some years at a factory for optical instruments, while writing a text-book in two volumes of general astronomy with professor M. Kamieński. In 1938, after the publication of his prize-winning book about Copernicus (''Kopernik, twórca nowego nieba'', 1937), Wasiutyński moved to Norway, where he completed his degree in astrophysics at the University of Oslo 1948. His interdisciplinary doctoral dissertation, ''Studies in hydrodynamics and structure of stars and planets'' (Oslo 1946), offers a detailed study of the mechanical and thermal effects of turbulence in rotating stars.
