The Bangladesh Jatiya Sramik League ( bn, বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় শ্রমিক লীগ "Bangladesh National Worker's League") is a national trade union federation in Bangladesh. Nationally, it is affiliated with the National Coordination Committee for Workers' Education and internationally with the International Trade Union Confederation. K.M. Azam Khasru is general secretary of the union and Fazlul Haque Montu was its president until his death in 2020. Bangladesh Road Transport Workers Federation ( bn, বাংলাদেশ সড়ক পরিবহন শ্রমিক ফেডারেশন) or BRTWF was established in 1991, after Shajahan Khan successfully united Truck, Bus and Automobile Workers Federations. Fazlul Haque Montu
Fazlul Haque Montu (died on November 20, 2020) was a Bangladeshi politician, Freedom Fighter and trade unionist. Biography He was a member of the Awami League and president of its Pabna District unit. He was also involved in trade union politics for more than 45 years and in 2019 was elected president of the Awami League's trade union wing, the Jatiya Sramik League. He had formerly been an independent member of the Minimum Wage Board of Bangladesh's garment industry. Bangladesh Krishak Sramik Awami League (BaKSAL) ( bn, বাংলাদেশ কৃষক শ্রমিক আওয়ামী লীগ "Bangladesh Worker-Peasant's People's League"; বাকশাল) was a political front comprising Bangladesh Awami League, Communist Party of Bangladesh, National Awami Party (Muzaffar) and Jatiyo League. Lal Bahini
Lal Bahini (Red Guards), was the armed wing of Bangladesh Awami League's labor front Bangladesh Jatio Sramik League that was active during 1972 to 1975 until the Assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, 1975. Lal Bahini was headed by Bangladesh Jatio Sramik League President Abdul Mannan. The force was basically a vanguard of the then Bangladesh Awami League and was used to suppress uprising among the workers. The actual date of the formation of the force is unknown.
