Jason Dearborn
Jason Dearborn was a Saskatchewan Party MLA of the Saskatchewan Legislature. Early life Attended St. Michaels University School in Victoria, B.C. Dearborn graduated from the University of Trinity College in the University of Toronto with a BA in 1994. He later returned to the same institution to graduate with an M.Div. in 1996. He earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Regina in 2007. Career Saskatchewan Party MLA He was elected in the riding of Kindersley in a by-election in 2002 and re-elected in the Saskatchewan General Election of 2003. Prior to the 2007 general election, Dearborn announced he would not be seeking re-election. Bill Boyd, a founding member of the Saskatchewan Party and the constituency's previous MLA, was nominated by party members and won that election again for MLA in the constituency of Kindersley. Legislative Assembly Of Saskatchewan
The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan is the legislative chamber of the Saskatchewan Legislature in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Bills passed by the assembly are given royal assent by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, in the name of the King in Right of Saskatchewan. The assembly meets at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in Regina. There are 61 constituencies in the province, which elect members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to the Legislative Assembly. All are single-member districts, though the cities of Regina, Saskatoon and Moose Jaw were in the past represented through multi-member districts, with members elected through Block Voting. Lorne Calvert
Lorne Albert Calvert (born December 24, 1952) was the 13th premier of Saskatchewan, from 2001 to 2007. Calvert served as leader of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party from 2001 to June 6, 2009, when he was succeeded by Dwain Lingenfelter. Early life and career Calvert was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. In 1975, Calvert married Betty Sluzalo of Perdue, Saskatchewan. He received his undergraduate degree in economics at the University of Regina. He originally was going to study law, but felt the calling to the ministry of the United Church of Canada. After attending the then-Regina Campus and the St. Andrew's College seminary in Saskatoon, he was ordained as minister of the United Church of Canada in 1976 and served as minister of several rural congregations. Kindersley
Kindersley is a town surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Kindersley No. 290 in west-central Saskatchewan, Canada. It is located along Highway 7, a primary highway linking Calgary, Alberta and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. At a population of 4,597 in 2016, it is an established industrial base for the resource-rich west-central region of the province and a service centre to the oil and gas industry and agriculture production. History It was incorporated in 1910, and named after Sir Robert Kindersley, Governor of the Hudson's Bay Company (1915-25) and a major shareholder in the Canadian Northern Railway, which was nationalized and amalgamated into Canadian National Railways in 1918.
