Jasmin Hamid
Jasmin Hamid (born 18 February 1984, Helsinki) is a Finnish actress, politician and investor. As an actress, Hamid is most known for playing a character named ''Katariina Mäkelä'' in the popular Finnish television soap opera Salatut Elämät. Hamid has a masters degree in acting. She began her studies as a teenager on a dancing program and continued in theater university during 2003-2008. Hamid started her career in politics in 2008, when she ran during the Helsinki local elections, representing the Green League. She was then chosen as deputy commissioner. In 2012, she was chosen for the Helsinki council with 1,200 votes. Hamid got into investing in 2013, when she bought her first investment housing in Kallio, Helsinki. Salatut Elämät
''Salatut elämät'' ("Secret Lives", literally "Concealed Lives") is a Finnish television soap opera that premiered on MTV3 on 25 January 1999. The series' storylines follow the daily lives of several families who live in the same apartment block in Helsinki. The series primarily centres on the residents of Pihlajakatu and its neighbouring areas. Only six of the original twenty characters Ismo ( Esko Kovero), Kalle (Pete Lattu), Ulla (Maija-Liisa Peuhu), Aki ( Sami Uotila), Kari ( Tommi Taurula) and Elina ( Inna Tähkänen, originally played by Sanna Luostarinen) still remain in the series, and most of the series' current characters have made their debuts in 2014 or later. The Green League (VIHR, fi, Vihreä liitto , sv, Gröna förbundet), shortened to the Greens ( fi, Vihreät, sv, De Gröna), is a green political party in Finland. The Finnish Tatars ( Tatar: ''финляндия татарлары'', Finnish: ''Suomen tataarit, Swedish: Finländska tatarer'') are an ethnic minority in Finland whose community has approximately 600–700 members. The community was formed between the late 1800s and the early 1900s when Mishar Tatar merchants emigrated from the Nizhny Novgorod Governorate of Russian Empire, and eventually settled in Finland. Tatar ( or ) is a Turkic language spoken by Tatars mainly located in modern Tatarstan (European Russia), as well as Siberia.
