Jarrid Frye
Jarrid Jamel Frye (born May 25, 1985) is an American former professional basketball player who last played for the Stjarnan of the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild karla. He attended Martin Luther High School and played college basketball at Sacred Heart University. Since retiring, Frye has taught Geometry at Spanish River High School in Boca Raton, Florida Professional After going undrafted in the 2007 NBA draft, Frye moved to Macedonia where he played two seasons with KK AMAK SP. In February 2010, Frye signed with the Kentucky Bisons for the rest of the 2009–10 ABA season. In the summer of 2010, Frye signed with KK Feni Industries of Macedonia for the 2010–11 season, going on to win the 2011 MFL championship. In August 2011, he re-signed with Feni for the 2011–12 season. In January 2013, Frye signed with Stjarnan of Úrvalsdeild karla for the rest of the 2012–13 season. The small forward (SF), also known as the three or swingman, is one of the five positions in a regulation basketball game. Small forwards are typically shorter, quicker, and leaner than power forwards and centers but taller, larger, and stronger than either of the guard positions. The Illawarra Hawks (formerly the Wollongong Hawks and The Hawks) is an Australian professional basketball team based in Wollongong, New South Wales. The Perth Wildcats are an Australian professional basketball team based in Perth, Western Australia. The Wildcats compete in the National Basketball League (Australia), National Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at Perth Arena, RAC Arena, known colloquially as "The Jungle". The 2013–14 NBL season was the 36th season of competition since its establishment in 1979. A total of eight teams contested the league. The regular season was played between 10 October 2013 and 23 March 2014, and was followed by a post-season featuring the top four in late March and April 2014. Stjarnan Men's Basketball
The Stjarnan men's basketball team, commonly known as Stjarnan, is the men's basketball department of Ungmennafélagið Stjarnan, based in the town of Garðabær, Iceland. It is a subdivision of Ungmennafélagið Stjarnan. History Stjarnan's men's basketball team was founded in 1993. It reached the Icelandic top-tier Úrvalsdeild karla in 2001. After losing all its games during the 2001–02 season, the team almost folded. It managed to stay afloat and reached the Úrvalsdeild again in 2007 and advanced to the Úrvalsdeild Finals in 2011 and 2013, losing both times. It won the Icelandic Basketball Cup in 2009, 2013, 2015, 2019 and 2020.
