James Theunissen
James Theunissen (born 7 December 1981) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler who played for Berkshire. He was born in London and educated at Douai School. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Berkshire County Cricket Club
Berkshire County Cricket Club is one of twenty National county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Berkshire. The team is currently a member of the National Counties Championship Western Division and plays in the NCCA Knockout Trophy. Berkshire played List A matches occasionally until 2005 but is not classified as a List A team ''per se''. Douai School
Douai School was a public (independent) school run by the Douai Abbey Benedictine community at Woolhampton, England, until it closed in 1999. History 1615–1818 The monastic community was founded in Paris in 1615 and moved to Douai after the French Revolution taking over the former buildings of the community of St Gregory. The monastery provided educational opportunities from the beginning, but had no formal school in its first decades of existence. Durham County Cricket Club
Durham County Cricket Club (rebranded as Durham Cricket in February 2019) is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Durham. Founded in 1882, Durham held minor status for over a century and was a prominent member of the Minor Counties Championship, winning the competition seven times. Tom Lambert (cricketer)
Thomas Luke Lambert (born 9 May 1981) is an English cricketer. Lambert is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm fast medium pace. He was born at Ascot, Berkshire. Lambert made his Minor Counties Championship debut for Berkshire in 1999 against Cheshire. From 1999 to 2011, he represented the county in 45 Minor Counties Championship matches, winning the Championship once as a player against Eastern Division champions Lincolnshire in 2008. Lambert also played 28 matches in the MCCA Knockout Trophy for Berkshire, winning it as a player in 2004 against Northumberland and 2011 against Hertfordshire in his final game for the county. His debut in the Trophy competition came in 2001 when Berkshire played Dorset. In 2013 he took over as 1st XI head coach where he has gone on to win the championship in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022. As coach he also won the KO trophy in 2013, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2022.
