Jamaal Lascelles ( ; born 11 November 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back and captains club Newcastle United. Lascelles previously played for Nottingham Forest, where he was developed through its youth academy. Club career Nottingham Forest Lascelles was born in Derby, Derbyshire. His father Tim Lascelles was a professional basketballer that played for Derby Trailblazers. He began his career at Nottingham Forest, progressing through the club's youth system. In January 2011, the club rejected a £5 million offer from Arsenal for him. He signed his first professional contract in March 2011. Lascelles made his first-team debut on 31 January 2012, starting in a 2–0 defeat to Burnley. Luke Anthony Freeman (born 22 March 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays for Premier League club Luton Town. He can play both as a midfielder or as a winger. Freeman played at Charlton Athletic, before joining Gillingham at the age of 11. He made his first-team debut for Gillingham at the age of 15, becoming the youngest ever player to appear in the FA Cup. In January 2008, Freeman signed for Arsenal, where he played regularly for the club's under-18 and reserve teams. Ahead of the 2010–11 season, Freeman joined Yeovil Town on loan until December 2010. Karl Darlow (born 8 October 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Newcastle United. He is the grandson of former Wales international forward Ken Leek who was included in the Welsh 1958 World Cup squad.
