Jakub Kochanowski
Jakub Kochanowski (born 17 July 1997) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as a middle blocker for Resovia (volleyball), Asseco Resovia and the Poland men's national volleyball team, Poland national team. Kochanowski was a participant in the 2020 Summer Olympics and is the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, 2018 World Champion and the 2020–21 CEV Champions League, 2021 Champions League winner with ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, ZAKSA. Career Club On 10 May 2018, after a successful season in AZS Olsztyn (volleyball), Indykpol AZS Olsztyn, and achieving 4th place in the league, he was announced as a new player of Skra Bełchatów, PGE Skra Bełchatów. In 2020, Kochanowski joined ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Giżycko
Giżycko (former pl, Lec or ''Łuczany''; ; lt, Leičių pilis) is a town in northeastern Poland with 28,597 inhabitants as of December 2021. 2023 Men's European Volleyball Championship
The 2023 Men's European Volleyball Championship was the 33rd edition of the Men's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, CEV. For the third time, the championship was held in four countries: Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Israel. The top three teams of the tournament qualified for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship as the CEV representatives, except Italy who had already qualified as the defending world champions. Poland won their second title after defeating hosts Italy 3–0 in the final. Wilfredo León was chosen as the MVP of the tournament. 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship
The 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship was the nineteenth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, contested by the men's national teams under the age of 21 of the members of the FIVB, the sport's global governing body. The tournament was held in Brno and Ceské Budejovice, Czech Republic from 23 June to 2 July 2017. 16 teams participated. Players must be born on or after 1 January 1997. Poland defeated Cuba in the final to capture their third title in the competition. The Poland men's national under-21 volleyball team is controlled by the ''Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej'' (PZPS), which represents the country in international competitions – U20 European Championships and U21 World Championship.
