Jake Hager (baseball)
Jake William Hager (born March 4, 1993) is an American professional baseball shortstop who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets and Arizona Diamondbacks. Career Tampa Bay Rays Hager attended Sierra Vista High School in Spring Valley, Nevada, where he was a four-year starter on the baseball team. As a senior, he was the Nevada Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year after batting .547 with 11 home runs and 57 RBIs. Hager was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the first round (32nd overall) of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft. He signed with the Rays rather than play college baseball at Arizona State University. After signing, Hager made his professional debut that same year for Princeton Rays and spent the whole season there, batting .269 with four home runs and 17 RBIs in 47 games. MacDill Air Force Base
MacDill Air Force Base (MacDill AFB) is an active United States Air Force installation located 4 miles (6.4 km) south-southwest of downtown Tampa, Florida. The "host wing" for MacDill AFB is the 6th Air Refueling Wing (6 ARW), assigned to the Eighteenth Air Force of the Air Mobility Command. The 6 ARW is commanded by Colonel Adam D. Bingham. The Wing Command Chief is Chief Master Sergeant Shae Gee. MacDill Air Force Base, located in South Tampa, was constructed as MacDill Field, a U.S. Army Air Corps, later U.S. Army Air Forces, installation just prior to World War II. With the establishment of the U.S. Air Force as an independent service in September 1947, it became MacDill Air Force Base. During the 1950s and 1960s, it was a Strategic Air Command (SAC) installation for B-47 Stratojet bombers.
