Jab Adu
Jab Adu (December 28, 1932 - 2016), born Joseph Abiodun Babajide, was an actor and producer from Nigeria. He directed the 1977 Nigerian film '' Bisi, Daughter of the River'', the highest grossing film in Nigeria for several decades. He was among the pioneers of Nigerian filmmaking. He was born in Calabar. From 1941 until 1946 he studied at St. Gregory's College in the Obalende neighborhood of Lagos. Calabar
Calabar (also referred to as Callabar, Calabari, Calbari and Kalabar) is the capital city of Cross River State, Nigeria. It was originally named Akwa Akpa, in the Efik language. St. Gregory's College, Lagos, is a catholic missionary school for boys, with boarding facilities, located 1.0 km from Tafawa Balewa Square in the vicinity of Ikoyi – Obalende, Lagos State, Nigeria. Obálendé, an adulteration of the Yoruba saying ''Ibi ti Oba le wa de'', meaning "Where the king chased us to", is a neighbourhood of Lagos, Nigeria, located in Eti-Osa LGA, close to Lagos Island. ''Saworoide'' is a 1999 Nigerian political drama film, produced and directed by Tunde Kelani. It stars Kola Oyewo, Bukky Wright, Lere Paimo, Larinde Akinleye, Peter Fatomilola, Kunle Bamtefa, Adebayo Faleti, Kayode Olaiya and Doyin Hassan.
