Jürgen Chrobog (born 28 February 1940) is a German jurist and former diplomat. He worked in the Foreign Office of West Germany and the reunified Germany and among other diplomatic postings, was Ambassador to the United States from 1995 to 2001. Life and career Chrobog was born in Berlin. He studied law in the 1960s in Freiburg im Breisgau, Göttingen, and Aix-en-Provence and then worked as an attorney in Hannover. In 1972, he joined the diplomatic service of the Federal Republic of Germany, which he served in the United Nations in New York. A member of the Freie Demokratische Partei, from 1973 to 1977 he worked in the German Foreign Office under foreign ministers Walter Scheel and Hans-Dietrich Genscher, where he was responsible for European issues as well as the Third World. On the ATP Tour The ATP Tour (known as ATP World Tour between January 2009 and December 2018) is the sole worldwide top-tier tennis tour for men organized by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) founded in 1990 that replaced the earlier dual Grand Prix ..., Fassbender won three singles and 15 doubles titles. His best Grand Slam singles result was reaching the quarterfinals at the 1973 Wimbledon Championships. Jürgen Von Farensbach
Jürgen von Farensbach (1551–1602) (, , ) was a Baltic Noble Corporations, Baltic German nobleman and Livonian Confederation, Livonian general. Sent as the Ambassador of Livonian Confederation to Czar Ivan IV of Russia, for concluding a peace treaty, he entered the Russian service and won the Battle of Molodi, battle on Oka against the Tatars on 1 August 1572. Later he served in the Danish and Polish armies. In 1586 Farensbach gained the rank a senator of the Polish crown granted by Sigismund III, whom he had assisted in gaining the throne of Poland. As field marshal of Poland he fought against the Swedish Empire, where he was killed in the attack on the castle of Fellin on 17 May 1602. Jürgen Fanghänel (born 1 August 1951) is a retired East German amateur boxer, who competed in 1970s and 1980s. Career Fanghänel won the bronze medal in the men's heavyweight division (91 kg) at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. There he was defeated in the semifinals by Pyotr Zayev of the Soviet Union. Jürgen Eschert (born 24 August 1941) is a retired German sprint canoeist. Competing in the C-1 1000 m event he won a gold medal at the 1964 Olympics and a bronze at the 1965 European Championships. In 1971 Eschert was expelled from the East Germany national team for wearing in public a T-shirt featuring the U.S. flag. He was a member of German military at the time. Jürgen Ehlers (; 29 December 1929 – 20 May 2008) was a German physicist who contributed to the understanding of Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity. From graduate and postgraduate work in Pascual Jordan's relativity research group at Hamburg University, he held various posts as a lecturer and, later, as a professor before joining the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Munich as a director. In 1995, he became the founding director of the newly created Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam, Germany. Ehlers' research focused on the foundations of general relativity as well as on the theory's applications to astrophysics. Jürgen Arnoldus Wilhelmus Dirkx (born 15 August 1975), known as Jürgen Dirkx, is a Dutch former professional footballer. During his career, he played as a centre-back for PSV and Fortuna Sittard. Jürgen Ludwig Drews (; born 2 April 1945) is a German Schlager music, schlager singer. Life Drews was born in Nauen near Berlin, and brought up in Schleswig, Schleswig-Holstein, Schleswig. His father's family is descended from Huguenots, but has lived in Brandenburg for two generations; the mother was the daughter of the head director and opera singer Georg Buttlar. After finishing school, he went on to study medicine at the University of Kiel, but dropped out of medical school to work as a singer. At age 15 he received an award as Best Banjo Player of Schleswig-Holstein, while playing in jazz band the ''Schnirpels''. At school he played in "The Monkeys". Jürgen Dehmel (born 12 August 1958) is a German bass player and songwriter. He was born in Berlin. Dehmel was brought by keyboardist Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen to join the rock band Nena in 1981. Fahrenkrog-Petersen and Dehmel had previously been together in a band called Odessa, releasing a self-titled album in 1980. The band also included Helmut Hirt on vocals, Otto Schneider on drums, Bernd Däumchen on guitar and saxophone, and Andreas Römer on solo-guitar. Dehmel joined Nena in 1981, and he remained until the band split in 1986. He continued to collaborate with Nena in her solo career and on tour, co-writing several songs for her solo albums.
