Jurassic World Rebirth
''Jurassic World Rebirth'' is an upcoming American Science fiction film, science fiction action film directed by Gareth Edwards (filmmaker), Gareth Edwards and written by David Koepp. It is a standalone sequel to ''Jurassic World Dominion'' (2022), the fourth Jurassic World (film series), ''Jurassic World'' film and the seventh installment overall in the Jurassic Park, ''Jurassic Park'' franchise. The film will star a new ensemble cast led by Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey. Development of the film was reported in January 2024, and had been underway for some time. Edwards was hired as director a month later, and casting commenced shortly thereafter. Principal photography took place in Thailand, Malta, and the United Kingdom from June to September 2024. Gareth Edwards (filmmaker)
Gareth James Edwards (born 13 July 1975) is a British filmmaker. His accolades include three British Independent Film Awards and nominations for the British Academy Film Awards and Primetime Emmy Awards. Edwards first gained recognition for ''Monsters (2010 film), Monsters'' (2010), an independent film in which he served as writer, director, cinematographer, and visual effects artist. He subsequently directed the big-budget adventure film ''Godzilla (2014 film), Godzilla'' (2014) and the science fiction films ''Rogue One: A Star Wars Story'' (2016), ''The Creator (2023 film), The Creator'' (2023) and ''Jurassic World Rebirth'' (2025). De-extinction (also known as resurrection biology, or species revivalism) is the process of generating an organism that either resembles or is an Extinction, extinct organism. There are several ways to carry out the process of de-extinction. Cloning is the most widely proposed method, although genome editing and selective breeding have also been considered. Similar techniques have been applied to certain endangered species, in hopes to boost their genetic diversity.
