Josh Blackburn
Josh Blackburn (born November 13, 1978 in North Pole, Alaska) is a retired American ice hockey goaltender. Playing career He played college hockey for the Michigan Wolverines. After turning professional, he played for the Augusta Lynx and Columbia Inferno in the ECHL and the Corpus Christi Rayz of the Central Hockey League The Central Hockey League (CHL) was a North American mid-level minor professional ice hockey league which operated from 1992 until 2014. After retiring from professional hockey in 2005, Blackburn became a goaltending consultant and opened his own goaltending school. In 2007, Blackburn returned to the University of Michigan as a volunteer assistant coach. In 2018, Blackburn joined Total Package Hockey, a hockey development program, as a goaltending coach. Augusta Lynx
The Augusta Lynx were a minor-league professional ice hockey team based in Augusta, Georgia. The Lynx played their home games at the James Brown Arena. The Lynx, who played in the ECHL, had affiliations with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL and the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL. The team was named for The Masters golf tournament held annually in Augusta, with the "Lynx" name a play on the golf term "hitting the links". The Lynx folded midway through the 2008-09 season on December 2, 2008, when it was announced that they were suspending operations and voluntarily relinquishing their league membership. 2002 CCHA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament
The 2002 CCHA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament was the 31st CCHA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament in conference history. It was played between March 8 and March 17, 2002. First round games were played at campus sites, while all 'super six' games were played at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. By winning the tournament, Michigan won the Mason Cup and received the Central Collegiate Hockey Association's automatic bid to the 2002 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. Format The tournament featured four rounds of play. In the First Round, the first and twelfth seeds, the second and eleventh seeds, the third and tenth seeds, the fourth and ninth seeds, the fifth and eighth seeds and the sixth and seventh seeds played a best-of-three series.
